2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

It makes no sense. I've got Platinum Tremor in production and a second with a build week of 1/29. September and October orders. Yet I have friends with no build dates.
Yep, in that boat too
July order and another Thursday has come and gone without a scheduling date
I realize it’s only been 5 months, but damn this is getting painful.

My Lariat Ultimate showed shipped and yesterday morning said in “dealer prep”. Meaning it has showed up at the dealership. I haven’t bothered to call them yet but have yet to hear from the dealer that it has arrived. Kind of annoying seeing everyone else get pictures when it shows up from their salesman when mines been there for 2+ days and they haven’t bothered to let me know. Was kind of thinking I’d hear something today, but nope.

Have you contacted ford chat? I'm an early August order and the only way I found out I was scheduled was through them.

Just text your salesman I did. I told him it was coming and the next morning when it showed up he took pictures and sent them to me. Then, that afternoon I happened to be passing by due to job location and saw it sitting on the truck 👍

I did, based on that suggestion many pages ago in the thread. Thanks for the offer though!

The annoying part is that you've had 2 trucks ordered and scheduled and some of us are still waiting on the first to get scheduled. That's of course not your fault, just frustrating.
I suspect your dealer is to blame. Can't prove it but not having an allocation or enough allocations for the orders they've taken is a thing. If your dealer is transparent they will tell you how many allocations they have and how many are in line ahead of you. Chances are you are waiting in line at the dealership and not Ford. Sure would be nice if the whole system was online and searchable to anyone that's curious. Can't think of any reason to keep it hidden other than to protect dealers. By the time an order hits Ford it's just another in a long line of orders. If they have the parts they will build it. The only other thing would be an option that is limited. In the current update from Long Mcarthur for example apparently the 18" wheels are in short supply which is the wheel used on the Tremor. Just thoughts.....

Been saying this for years. The dealers are taking orders that they don’t have the allocations to fill. It’s not entirely Fords fault. The dealer has some responsibility in this as well.

My order number has letters too, so it is probably just a randomized thing, or trim specific or something
Order numbers are dealer specific as in they make up their own numbering sequence / system.

Sure, but you could also updated more realtime on stuff rather than waiting around on the dealer and the emails that don't seem to be reliable from Ford.
It’s sad when the usps can update where millions of packages are but ford can’t track 1/100 of that volume. It’s just bar code scanning, uploading and processing. Usually the government

Ford set up the agreements with the dealers before most (if not all) of us were born and continues to use an outdated process. It’s insane Ford doesn’t process a retail order ASAP vs allocating vehicles to dealer on a ration system.

Mine was supposedly in preview a week or so ago but did not get scheduled. What's not clear to me is whether Ford will consider/preview an order if the dealer doesn't have allocation. My specific truck has some of the more limited options like Black Appearance Package so it unfortunately falls into the Platinum and Limited capacity situation, although the number of orders versus capacity is lower on BAP from my understanding. We removed the gooseneck prep and smart scales for a bit to see if it would get scheduled and it did preview but never went to scheduled so I had them put it back. If I have to wait anyway, I'm getting what I want and not spending a fortune retrofitting stuff.

Well my time has come to move on from this thread and go on over to “What did you do to your Tremor today”and “What are you using your upfitters for”. I wish y’all the best and hope for a quick delivery.

It's definitely the lack of info that bothers me. Each order placed with Ford is tagged with unique info like Sales Code and email. They could easily have an enriched set of information on each order that has the allocation status, commodity info/availablity, target dates, etc. That way we as consumers can make informed decisions about what to do. At least if we knew for a fact in real time that a particular option was holding up an order, we could make adjustments or just suck it up. The not knowing and being beholden to a dealer to give status updates in a timely manner is my greatest frustration.

Congratulations. I’ll be a couple months behind you.

Not to add more fuel to the fire... But my order with Granger should be delivered in a couple weeks. But.... My buddy threw in another order in my name. Platinum Tremor 7.3 as well. It just went into production. If someone wants it, they can have it. It's production week is next week. I can get you in contact with him. Just hit me up and let me know.

Well guys my truck has been at the railyard for a few days now, stopped when I saw the transport truck and talked to the driver so he said he would call the yard and get it on the next load, gave him my last 8 of my vin only to learn that it has damage and is on hold.
Dealer says it has some damage to the roof lights and some scuffs on the roof! Says the roof isnt dented.
Just my luck!

Luckily,I ordered a KR on the same day and it's in production as we speak.

Until franchise laws change, Ford can't broadly change their sales model as the laws protect the dealership model.

If they didn't have some kind of an allocation system you'd have a very lop sided order fulfillment process. I agree it's not ideal but making sure all their dealers get some kind of chance to service their customers makes sense. If the dealers handled it to the customers benefit I think it would be a better system.

My truck arrived at the dealer this morning and I was able to pick it up tonight. I fully expected it to be at least another week. I hope others following this thread get their trucks soon.
