2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Finally!

Good looking truck, Congrats! I feel out of place ordering the Oxford White. Quite a few pictures of pickups with darker paint.
My first thought as well. I love the darker colors when they are clean, but the Oxford White was the more logical choice for my environment and use.

All honesty. I wanted pearl white. I have CG now. After seeing the Bed step I wanted to stick with a darker color to “hide/blend” the step to not stand out so much. I get the practicality of it. Just wish it wasn’t so ‘in your face’. An AMP step could have been the solution.

Search bed step delete kit. They are expensive but you can paint them to match. (This is not my pickup)

I'm not a big fan of the bed steps either. From what I was told by my dealership, the NHTSA (or another agency) is mandating them as a safety feature within a couple years. Just like they mandated airbags, ABS brakes, backup cameras, etc. All pickups will have them eventually.

Let me guess. You wanna camo your ride in the snow? 😉

I know some of you are not gonna like this…my 1st truck order in July (CO) is finished and shipping - the 2nd truck (Nov in AZ) is scheduled for 1/22…they both did not have the deployable running boards…the AZ guys fixed it and added the deployable running boards and I can now see them added in system…the CO guys want me to pay for ordering them plus installation for a total increase of $2,495. I’m thinking I’m not paying $2,500 for a $0 change. Ridiculous. I can wait another month as the AZ guys say their vehicles rarely sit in rail lot more than a day or 2. I ordered these because I wanted them the way I wanted them. So there will be a red gas tremor available in CO soon…

The annoying part is that you've had 2 trucks ordered and scheduled and some of us are still waiting on the first to get scheduled. That's of course not your fault, just frustrating.
It makes no sense. I've got Platinum Tremor in production and a second with a build week of 1/29. September and October orders. Yet I have friends with no build dates.

Ford needs to make the order tracking a bit more flexible or open where you can track by order number only and not need a VIN. I'm sure their chat is getting hammered with requests for status and even if the dealers aren't openly dicks about checking and giving status, you know they get annoyed too. Ford if you're listening .... give me API access to the data and I'll fix it for you in about 20 min. :)

If you don’t have a VIN there is nothing to update other than your dealer coukd tell you if the order “previewed”. Meaning the order was being considered for scheduling.

Sure, but you could also updated more realtime on stuff rather than waiting around on the dealer and the emails that don't seem to be reliable from Ford.
