47 DAYS!!!!!!!! WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!!!!

Make sure you and your vehicle are ready for the trails and desert 🏜 of Big Bend National Park. THERE ARE NO REPAIR RESOURSES WITHIN MILES OF WHERE WE WILL BE.

It will be necessary your tires are in average to above average condition. It will be very cool in the evening (30's & 40's) 70's & 80's daytime. Please do not come with a truck that is or has been experiencing unresolved mechanical or electrical issues. Get them fixed please.

@Talon2006 and @Bishop351 have indicated they are arriving on Thursday, but there are no reservations or indication that either are attending, therefore the accurate attendance count as of today is 30 trucks. 22 arriving on Thursday and 8 on Friday.

We are now at 44 days until BIG Bend meet up!!!

OUR COMMRAD FROM WASHINGTON STATE HAS REGRETFULLY HAD TO CANCEL FOR OUR MEET UP AT BIG BEND!! I DID NOT HAVE ANYONE ON A WAIT LIST FOR A CABIN, IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE THERE IS NOW A CABIN AVAILABLE AT TERLINGUA RANCH LODGE! WE NOW HAVE 29 TRUCKS CONFIRMED, FROM 9 STATES!

I'm meeting up with @cntyguy in Phoenix Wednesday afternoonish. Then we're heading over to Las Cruces, NM. We may meet @Vecman for dinner. We got an AirBnb to hunker down for the night. We'll be on the 10 and get onto 90 at Van Horn. Thursday afternoon we should arrive at Terlingua Ranch. 15-16 hour drive .

I was gonna bring some kind of box but they keep arguing so solo time it is. I get to hang with the boys for once .

I plan on leaving Leakey, TX about 6am Thursday morning, head north on US 83 to IH10 in Junction, TX. Then west on IH10 to Ft Stockton then south to Terlingua Ranch lodge. Expect to arrive at Terlingua ranch before noon, I may stop for Lunch which may delay my arrival!!

Leaving OK around 4:00am Thursday and headed south to Wichita Falls, TX. Then the long haul through the vast nothingness of West Texas and the Permian Basin to Alpine, TX (Big Spring, Midland, Odessa, Fort Stockton). It is a good 9 1/2-hour drive with stops. Hoping to catch Big Bend Saddlery in Alpine before they close Thursday (I'm a saddle maker for the Army so I try to check out different saddle shops when I can). Probably arrive in Terlingua around 3:00pm.
