They also have a deal for them with the solar panels. I ordered the 1000 with the 200w solar panel kit earlier this week. Got the panels yesterday and the power station should be here today.View attachment 181447

I saw an add for diamondback Black Friday sale fyiI’m not the boss of anyone, and am just sharing my experience and opinion, so obviously folks will do whatever they like.
I have a large quantity of Eneloops, and two Maha chargers that operate with a solar panel, 110, or 12 volt. But frankly I’ve never bothered to use the solar, specifically because I have a buttload of Eneloops to pull from. I just keep them in one of those plastic caddies that’s like a mini suitcase.
That’s what’s worked for me for many years, but obviously people are free to do whatever they want.
You’re supposed to remove batts from NVG’s, and normally I do, but eventually I forgot. When I found my PVS14’s battery compartment crudded full from swollen leaking Duracells (and to be fair— a $2k IR laser crudded from energizer industrials), that was the last straw for me. I was lucky enough that both devices came up decently clean after scrubbing the contacts/springs/batt compartments with white vinegar, and a water/baking soda flush.
I do have a stash of energizer lithiums, but they’re past date because I quit buying them in favor of the ridiculously dependable Eneloops.
To each their own, ymmv, etc.
(Because the ‘net frequently lacks proper nuance: Saying this without any snark— Anyone who chooses to continue with alkalines— I wish the best of outcomes. I just had too much “bad luck”.)
Now I’ll hush up and stop distracting from the topic of this thread.lol
Edit to add: I’m really on this thread hoping Linus’ “Great Pumpkin” will appear and deliver a Black Friday deal on a Diamondback HD that’s better than their 10% vet discount. I know— doubtful… but I’m a frugal cuss sometimes, and have waited on the outside chance.![]()

It seems like Stihl only discounts the electric saws nowadays. Not sure i've seen a discounted Stihl. Might throw in some goodies but doubt they cut the price.
500i is a heckuva saw.
Agree. I received an email from them and it was just the electric saws that were on sale. 500i was at DSRP.It seems like Stihl only discounts the electric saws nowadays.
