From the 11 pages of posts, the consensus is that it's more stable to and cost effective to use a data only sim on the head unit.

Setting > personal hotspot > maximize compatibility
I was having connection issues with a recent update and this solved my connection issues with hotspotting and carplay while connection my kids iPad
Now that I think about it, I learned "graveyard dead" back in the 1980s from Jerry Clower cassettes bought at truck stops. Anyone else?
Jerry Clower is a great story teller. Used to listen to him with my Grandpa many many years ago. 
Can you use anyone's sim card for data? We use Verizon for cell service so obviously I would prefer to stay with them

Was wondering if anyone else here has had the popping noise issue in music apps when pausing a song or changing to a different music app. I also get it when hanging up on a phone call. Always happens about a second and a half later after whatever I was listening to stops. If any of you have had this, did a software update fix it or am I looking at returning the unit? Connections are all good.
How’s the sound quality?
I bought my 21 Tremor with a Linkswell unit and the sound is very distorted. Could not figure out to fix it. I took to 2 different stereo shops and they both told me it’s the unit no being compatible with the B&O system.
Anyone have any issues when trying to use a sim? I added a tablet plan from ATT and cannot get data to work. Showing 4g and good signal, just no data. Had it working once for a short time.
I have no help but this is one of the things I am holding out on (Verizon).
Any have the Viknav model that had the screen go black? Radio still works and sounds like the Sync 3 still works just can't see anything or able to navigate because the screen went black
Does anyone know how to stop the volume from playing super loud as soon as you get in and start the truck? As soon as I get in, if defaults to the truck radio, and the volume is so high and it takes a second before it automatically connect your CarPlay or the volume to go back down. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Solution was to reset the screen with ta paperclip in the small reset hole. Does not reset the entire system just the screen.
I'm late to the party and now thinking about one of these how many brands are available and which one is the best head unit for the 21 Lariat Tremor? Thank you
Has anyone here installed the 8+256G Android 14 version? It looks like some of the off-brand versions have these specs, but Autotecpro is still selling the 8+128G Android 13 version.

Also seeing this now and looks nice. Really close to pulling trigger and trying out. Only concern is not 100% clear if the aux ford trailer camera works with this, as def don't want to lose that as It's pretty darn helpful backing my 5th wheel. Anyone with Autotec 14.4 " rig have the for trailer camera system also and can comment if your still able to access that camera feed?
