Falken Wildpeak RT01

How do they do in snow and ice? I see they’re not 3 peak rated like the wildpeaks

Yep they do. I don’t do any wild wheeling so I’m not concerned with losing a bead.
Just an FYI - It's not about losing a bead, it's about the ability of the tread to lay flat on the ground through their pressure range and load capability.

We ran Toyo MT in 37x13.5r17 on stock, 8" wide wheels and it tore up the centers as the tire ballooned a bit too much. To get the tread to lay flat, you need to air down and that made them squishy.

1/2" of wheel width makes a surprising difference.

I don’t disagree with that at all. Here’s my thought process on exactly what you mentioned…. A Toyo Mt in 37x13.50r17 measure 14.6” actual width. The Falken RT 37x13.50r18 measure 13.7” actual width. So the Toyo is nearly a full inch wider. And the Falken is on an 18” wheel so less sidewall to flex or feel squishy (note these 3 ply side walls are very stiff) I’ll definitely be running in the ~40 psi range. I’ve run similar setups before without issue so I think it’ll work.

It’s only about 15 miles to the tire shop so not much of a test yet. However the seat of pants comfort is night and day vs stock duracrap tires. I should flog myself for leaving them on so long. And yes I aired them down as low as 35psi and every little expansion joint still felt horrible even with the Carli kit on it.

Looks great! Nice and thicc tires.

Also like the ZIP system

looks good, sidewall still looks great. what's your ride height vs stock with carli stuff?

The kit is the diesel commuter kit with deaver leafs in back. The front came up 2 5/8” and the rear 0.5”. I imagine with tires there’s another inch gained.

Any updates on these tires after having them for a few weeks? How is the road noise? Are they wearing ok? Any regrets? I am looking at the same setup. I run the MT Baja Boss A/Ts on my Raptor and absolutely love them, but unfortunately they aren't offered in a 37x12.5R18. Thanks!

I love them. Ride is soft for a 10ply but I am running 40 up front and 38 rear. There is some noise but less than the duratracs. Seem to be wearing fine with only a few hundred miles so far.

What did you do to correct your speedo? I'd really like to go up to a 37 when I need new tires soon.

I haven’t recalibrated yet but know it’s roughly 4-5mph off at highway speeds and 1.5-2.5 at city/neighborhood speeds.

They look like an interesting tire. I would consider then, but I want a tire that is triple peak rated. I went from BGF KO2’s to Nitto Ridge Grapplers and I was disappointed with the Nittos. They did ok in the snow, but just didn’t perform on par with a tire that is triple peak rated. If I didn’t have to worry about snow these would be one I would have to give a serious look at.

@1FORDy3rd truck looks amazing! This really solidified my thoughts on keeping the stock Tremor wheels and going to 37's. I saw in one post you mentioned using 1/2" wheel spacers. Have you done that yet? I'm trying to pull all my items together before taking it to my off-road shop for installation. On my 2019, the 37's on OEM Sport 20" wheels really rubbed on the radius arms, until I went with 0 offset wheels and UCF 3-link radius arms. I'm really just trying to figure out if I am going to need the wheel spacers once I have the 3-link installed.

The spacers actually just shipped from Bora today after ordering a little over 5 weeks ago. I will report back once again installed. Another member here installed them on a stock Tremor (no lift) with 37x12.5 BFG mud terrains and his no longer rubbed factory radius arms and had room to spare. So I’m hopeful these will stop the rub or minimize it.

Got the spacers installed today. Much better however at full lock they kiss the radius arms. And it’s a very light kiss so I’m ok with it. No rub anywhere else. If you order a set, be sure to select the one with tow package. There is a very slight difference in the machining of the front vs rear. Same hub size obviously but the front hub has a slightly larger lip than rear.

Nice! That's good to know. I was wondering what the difference was. Let's see some pictures!

Also, do you feel that there is enough thread left for the lug nuts?

I had 7 full turns left. Bora instructions say need 6 at minimum.

It’s also worth noting that the tolerances are very tight especially on rear and you’ll need to sand the powder coat on the hub a bit to get them on.
