Falken Wildpeak RT01

I get it, I was a little underwhelmed with the Toyo RT Trails when I first saw them but I’m loving them now that I have them on my truck. There’s a fine balance between the looks and actually living with an aggressive tire for the sake of looks alone.
You gotta love the guys with MT’s that never leave the pavement! I’m loving them still. At 16k miles now they’re getting a little louder but it’s really not that bad. The sidewalls are aggressive enough to stop the cactus 🌵 and mesquite thorns from popping the tire. Which is great because I run over them all the time at the ranch. Can see a few still in the side walls.

Looks great! What are your wheel specs? I’d like to see from front and rear down the side to gauge how much tire is outside of wheel well.
17x9.5 black rhino arsenal with-18mm offset. I trimmed the plastic at the rear of the wheel well right away today and tonight Ill likley have to trim some of the metal right by where the inner screw for the wheel well liner attaches to. When I look from the top of the rear wheel well straight down it is alllllmost the entire outer lug of the tire shoulder that extends outside the truck

Just enough poke. That’d be about the max for me. The amount of time my truck spends in the dirt from September-February is the only thing keeping me from buying aftermarket wheels. I already hate washing my truck and the more they poke, the more I’ll have to wash. I might need 9” wide width @ +18~ to keep the sling to a minimum.

+18mm offset keeps it just at the edge or right under it.

I haven't seen a set of the Falken RTs in person yet, but I have seen the RT Trails in person and I was also underwhelmed at first, but they've grown on me. I think I may end up going with them over the Falken for a few reasons, but mainly because I found out they're made here locally.

Yea, made in the USA is a rarity these days for such an item lol.

Here are a few of the Toyo RT Trail on my truck.

Any updates on these? I'm looking at these and the BFG HD Terrain in 295/65r20 to replace the factory Michelins (don't have a Tremor) when they're done.

We're traveling full time, so we do a lot of towing and driving on BLM land.

They’re great! Have 25k~ on them and not a single issue yet.

Nice. If you tow with them much, they feel pretty solid? Any "squishiness" or wiggle in them at all?

These tires are stiff. Hauling I typically have 50psi front and rear. That’s with about 8k lbs of trailer and equipment. No squishy feeling at all.

To chime in here as well since I have about 15k on my rt

They are about as loud as ridge grapplers
I live in Florida and the rain performance is perfectly acceptable for what the tires are.

Snow performance is ok but not great. I’ve had cooper st max on a 4Runner and a ram 1500 in snow and those are much better. I was on a family vacation to Colorado with these falkens and I had to use 4wd to get out of the driveway and my father’s f450 on all weather commercial tires was fine in 2wd

I will probably be replacing these with an AT tire

I ran 33s on my 2500. Very soft, quiet riding tire. Wet roads could get sketchy at times. I would own them again, but I dont think they lasted more than 30K. I went back to Toyo AT3s when I replaced them, but still have the Falken as my spare.
The Falken RT?

So, win @ Discount Tire this morning. Guy scanned my VIN and read/entered everything off of the sidewalls. Didn't say anything. Weights weren't double stacked and are all still accounted for after a 30 minute drive home. Doofuses did inflate to 65psi (max on 37x12.5R17) despite the ticket saying 45 front 50 rear... had to spend a while crouching in a parking lot deflating.

Quieter and smoother than the duratracs (had 17k) even at max psi. Even better once I lowered it. She rubs good though, gonna have to trim before I leave the house again. 17x8.5 +0. Crapola pics because it's a gloomy ass day out.

Nice. My FX4 came with 275/65R20, and I'm going to see if I can figure out how to get them to mount the RT in 295/65R20.
