Why did you pick the tremor package?

I pulled the trigger because it checked a lot of the boxes I wanted. I had a 2013 F250 6.7 that I sold in 2017 for a 4Runner. After about a year, my wife and I really missed the truck.

I had been researching non-stop since, looking at the changes year to year. When I saw the changes for 2020 (power/transmission) and then the Tremor package and Lariat sport package ultimately topped it off.

We tow a small offroad camping trailer at 17’ and 4200 lbs and pulling it is effortless.

The main reason I wanted the Tremor package was the short air valence in front, off road features, raptor style sidesteps, and lift/wheel/tire package. I plan to replace the suspension and wheels/tires within the next 6 months, but it looks good enough I don’t mind driving it in the meantime. If I had a non-tremor, I would have ordered all that before I even drove it off the lot..

I like the Tremor side steps because they protect really well against door dings, and the truck is a DD.. Granted, when it sits another 4”-5” higher after the lift it may be a bit of a step for my 5’ wife, but she’s not one to complain.

I’ve had probably 6 f150’s all lifted 2-4”’s with 33-35” tires. Each one I got seemed lesser of a truck. Each one got more powerful but just seemed less truck and more soccer mom. I decided on the tremor because it’s already lifted on 35’s and is a lot more truck than what I was getting from the F150’s.

I had a 2020 RAM 3500 Dually. Was a towing machine. The CP4 fuel pumps are failing on these and it appears FCA is gonna leave everyone hanging. Other issues bugged me. Was not in search of the Tremor, but found a dealer that was ready to deal on a trade on the Tremor. Once I learned what you got in the package we kept negotiating and got most of my investment out of the Dodge Ram. Was always a Ford man, but wanted the Cummins. BIG MISTAKE!! I love the 7.3L and 10 speed trans and it serves my needs well :) And everyone comments on the truck and ask about the 7.3 gas!!!

I had already ruled out a Chevy and Dodge for various reasons. I also wore out and had to rebuild the suspension on every independent front suspension truck I ever had and had replaced 1/2 ton transmissions due to hard use but didn't want to go to a "big" truck. I was borderline 1/2 or 3/4 ton for needs so I looked at Build & Price for F-250 on line to see what it would cost me over a F-150 Lariat. I noticed a "Tremor Package" and clicked on it to see what it was. That was it.

It has what I've done to other trucks; slight lift, taller but not too much wider tires, skid plates, etc. The functional drive modes, Dana rear axle, and higher running boards were huge bonuses. Basically its perfect from the factory for a wide range of uses. So I compromised on the size but not the cost. A similarly equipped F-150 is within a few thousand dollars for far less truck. A F-250 Fx4 was only $1,300 and change cheaper. It was a no brainer so I ordered after some more research and trying to find what I wanted and learned it didn't exist on a lot anywhere.

Ford nailed it with this package. It will stay essentially stock for a long time until I'm done with it. My boys already have plans for it after that.

Like others have said, I loved both Raptors Ive owned but towing was such a pain. Yes I know the Raptor wasnt meant for towing..... So something I can off-road out of the box and not have to make too many mods to, and it tows a hell of a lot more than I need is why I switched to the tremor....

In order of importance:

1. Axles / Limited slip front / Electric rear "locker"
2. 35's - I put these on my 17' and would go to them after smaller stock ones were gone anyways
3. Black wheels - I cant justify spending a couple grand on new wheels
4. Short air dam - almost ripped the tall one off the 17' numerous times
5. 35" spare - I haven't had a matching size spare since 99' it will be comforting knowing I wont tare things up in the driveline when I get a flat
6. "Skid plates" - if you can call them that

These are what justified the cost of the Tremor package for me. The rest of the electronic features and shocks are neutral to me. The suspension is also neutral to me, I'll likely still level it an inch or 2, I'll have to see how it sits when it comes in.

The smaller front sway bar and no ability to factory order a rear sway bar were both negatives for my intended use (80% highway, 15% muddy construction sites, 5% towing). I don't need to flex out an 8,000# $70,000 truck. If I was looking for true off-road performance I'd personally get a Jeep and put the extra money in suspension and tires, but that's just me. There are a bunch of guys on here with the complete opposite intended use than mine and I respect that as well. I also enjoy seeing what they are able to get their trucks to do.

I knew I was going to buy an F250. I also knew I was going to lift or level it and add mud tires. As soon as I saw the Tremor package, online, with the lift, mud tires, skid plates, etc, I was in love.

I searched around until I found a Tremor in Carbonized Grey in my state and drove out there to buy it.

I didn't care what else was on it. The only thing that mattered was, tremor package, color, and under $60k.

I ended up getting my XLT for $55k.

I do wish it had a sun roof and a few other features, but no way in hell I'm ever going to pay $80k for a truck. I'm happy with what I got and the money I saved...

I currently drive an 18 F250 6.7 Platinum. When I started researching my next truck (F350 6.7) and what options I wanted, I was dead set on another Platinum that I was going to change up aftermarket. I was picking components (like Carli suspension), wheels, tires, etc. When I learned about the Tremor, I realized it checked all the boxes I needed/wanted and was a factory package. Sure, Carli suspension is bad ass and more capable offroad but I honestly can do everything I want to in a Tremor. The rest was overkill and the cost of all the compents added up was certinaly not saving me anything. The Tremor will hold some value better than aftermarket parts when I go to resell one day... and it is all under warranty. I don't love the wheels but can always change those out if I get tired of the factory Tremor wheels. For guys who really like to mod their trucks, I agree that the Tremor package is likely not worth the money. Why spend those funds on the package only to change everything to aftermarket. For me, it looks cool and does eveyrthing I need it to do.

It was a new truck on the market with cool features and I like to have the latest things on the market.

I posted earlier but another reason is both my wife and I both own part of our family farms. Each have tillable and wooded areas. The Tremor fits in nicely to do work in the woods, etc. with no problem and can tow equipment between each farm and our home. So works great!

My ranch is over two miles from pavement. Wyoming winters can be.... challenging.
Tremor is the first time a truck checked all my needs from the factory without having to dump a lot of aftermarket work into it. Most notable is the front LSD.

Believe it or not my wife and kids talked me into it. The more conservative side of me said I will just get an FX4 and upgrade it later as I go. When we went to test drive them the kids went nuts over the Tremor and my wife was plainly hating on the non tremor right beside it. I have always had jeeps and off road toys in the past so the Tremor caught my eye too, not sure it will ever get used offroad like it should as its so damn big but for a stock truck it sure does look the part.

Has a bunch of stuff I'd do anyway, but is designed and spec-ed by a factory engineer (as opposed to Jim Bob, former tire changer, who's good and stuff with cad), and covered by a manufacturers warranty.

I put a lift, 35s and a locker on my current vehicle...I added the winch to my truck order and I believe your still saving money vs doing it aftermarket.
