Your auto zone must be more trusting than mine, every time I dump oil there, they inspect it to ensure that it’s just oil. Who ever they sell the used oil too might not accept it if it has a bunch of diesel in it.

I'm going to call our local garbage company during the week first. Their website doesn't list any type of fuel in their hazardous waste page. My Auto Zone has the last part of their counter full of containers for customers to just drop off and go. A long time ago, I used to pour directly into their big red tank in the back. Now, they always say, leave your containers on the counter.

My oil drain bucket that I drained into has a years of residue/debris in it and I'm not putting that back into my Tremor's tank. If I had any idea so much diesel would come out, I may have bought a new/clean oil drain bucket to reuse the fuel.

Our AutoZone won't touch used oil.

They just point to the back of the store and you dump it into the barrel yourself without any supervision
