After doing a new horse fence around the winter pastures with the family, I added tunes to the tractor.

I didn’t order the Deere factor option, because I heard it was “meh” at best. Lo and behold, there were speakers already installed when I dropped the headliner!

I did a little side by side so you could see the difference to what I replaced them with. Also opted for the pioneer head unit so I could run Bluetooth.

Not as great as a vehicle when it comes to sound quality, but not bad at all!

Little unsettling when a 7,000+ lb load starts walking on the freeway at 75 mph. First time hauling it, now I know where it needs to sit.

I posted this also in the hauling forum. It’s my “72” 3020, powershift, M&W turbo and 3720 hours. It went to a Friends to get some weeping leaks fixed. Next will be to do a cosmetic restoration.

Last year as a senior project, my grandson and I did a John Deere 140 for his senior project. Here are start middle and finished pictures of the build. Completely taken apart ( except the engine, no time) sandblasted, epoxy primed and PPG Commercial Performance paint. Hood, fenders wet sanded and polished( I got a buddy who has a ginormous shop with paint booth, machine shop and welding area. He was in the business) it came out better than factory.

The reason I post this is it’s what I’m planning to do on the 3020 only a larger scale. I’m not taking it completely apart but will be re doing a lot of it. It’s going to take sometime and a much larger area than our shed!
