How do you like the XLR and how well does it hold up? We were looking at the XLR Nitro 28DK5 but I don't know much about the brand. The wife really likes the window on the front which is now one of her must haves.

We boondock almost every time we camp. This is one of my family's favorite spots in N. AZ, didn't see another person all of Memorial Day weekend.

Lots of up and down to get there including the Salt River Canyon. Tremor did awesome, 7.3L had plenty of power.

I pulled my grand design momentum 350m for the first substantial trip with my f350 7.3. And I’ll say that I am pleased. My trip included a pretty steep 4 mile climb and I had no issues maintaining 70mph

I hit the cat scales on my trip. Total weight was 24,480 pounds. Family of 5, 1 dog, golf cart and full tank of gas.
The slip of 7440 was the truck with my 4 year old son and I with a full tank of gas.
the other slip is the entire family, and loaded up toy hauler.

I knew it wouldn’t tow like my diesels did, but I’m very pleased and I’m still within all my weight limits, which was one of the reasons I went with a gasser this time. My payload is 3849lb

So according to your cat numbers of the scales output, your pin weight calculates to 3,400lbs. Wow that's a heavy trailer. Glad to hear the 7.3L is a beast for you as well. I have a GD 311BHS 5er and my pin weight was 2900 pounds with the RV fully loaded. I did not expect that but the 7.3L gasser pulled great.
Your pin calculation:
Steer Axle w/RV attached: 4300
Drive Axle w/RV attached: 6540
Truck weight w/o RV: 7440

Pin equals: 4300 + 6540 - 7440 = 3400
You have 450lbs to spare...that's pretty good.

Not necessarily the “pin weight” but added payload. The first weight of 7440 was with myself and my youngest child only. The 2nd weight is with my wife, the other 2 kids, the hitch etc... I’d say the actual pin weight of the trailer itself would be closer to 3200 ish just based on the weight added to my rear axle. But, no matter how we slice it I’m still under all my numbers. If i went with the diesel again, I’d definitely be exceeding my payload capacity just like on my last truck.

It wasn’t level, but it wasn’t anything crazy bad. This is in my driveway which is slightly downhill so it’s pushing down more on the back then if my driveway was flat

Thanks. Driving 3 hours to pick my 5th wheel up in sept and wondering if I should get airbags. It has a 2150 pin weight. Leaning toward Anderson to save weight. I only have 3374 payload. I still need to instal the Ford hitch prep.

I’m shot after a long day of responding and my family fingers hurt. I will hit you up ? n your phone soon my brother. But before I said go off tonight what yr and model is that gorgeous toy hauler you have. Also your Tremor looks hot.
I also wanted to know if I can put my Carli Pintop 2.5 on my Tremor. Even if I can’t put the 37” ridge grapplers on my new methods. I will sell them and get 35” ridge grapplers.

I personally think you’ll be just fine w/o bags. I installed bags on my 2019 3500 duramax and realized that I didn’t need them. I found them to just be something else to mess with.

Savage hooked me up with a list of his mods. I already bought Firestone Ride Rite Red label 7,500 air bag set up with an ARB on board compressor for the bed with air valve for 2 set ups sitting in my garage collecting dust. I just wanted to know if I can get my Carli Pintop installed. That raises my rear 1”. That’s what Cody from CJC emailed me. The front gets raised 2 1/2”. This is with out the 37” tires. So I figured maybe I can get this set up installed and just get 35” tires got my new methods. But I’ll keep it stock to pull a 5th wheel if need be.
I have 15k worth of mods sitting n my garage that’s already paid for. I was in my funk trying to figure out what I wanted to do with life.

2021 XLR Boost 21QBS toy hauler. On the way home from the first camping trip. About 120 miles each way. First time towing something this size and it handled it well.
