A few months ago I was towing a wicked heavy load (not) and cycled through my camera views. I remembered I could run the bed camera while driving, but I didn't realize I could run the tailgate camera. I have to say, the little warning in the center of the screen is the most ridiculous thing I have seen. Full View not available is only due to the warning itself. lol

Am I missing something?

I mean I only have a bachelors degree and fly airplanes for a living but to me that appears to be “Full View”. Maybe I’m way off.

There’s gotta be a way to get that warning off the screen using ForScan?
:ROFLMAO:

I completely agree.

Pretty sure there is. I forgot to do it my one time using forscan and haven't played with it since. Need all the other door chimes and key warnings gone too but haven't had the time when I think about it 🤦😭

I did door chimes, passenger airbag warning, bambi mode, and must have missed this one. My laptop I used died - so I need to fine a replacement.

If there's a way, it hasn't been discovered yet (to the best of my google-fu). I've asked my dealer to try and remove it and they can't (probably won't) either. It's really annoying because it sits RIGHT where my straps are when I'm towing my equipment trailer. So instead of being able to watch my straps break I get to look at a warning to make sure I'm not watching my straps break. Genius!

You can remove this in Forscan as i did it for mine. There are also a bunch of videos for this mod on the F150 which is the same process on the SD.

Good to know. Going to disable this and re-disable my door chimes. I think a software update turned them back on.

If found. Could someone post the directions?

Yep, it's called the Black box removal.

Go to the correct address: Select the "Configuration" or "As-Built" mode and go to the address 7D0-02-02.

I was using an old ass Lenovo with a power cord ran to my truck because the battery is toast.... I don't have anything but my phone, a tablet, and a few ps4/ps5s. 🤷😉

The Forscan change worked great on my '25.

Remove Black Box on ReverseAPIM7D0-02-02xxx*xxxxxx--Add 1 to Current Value - Sync version must be 23151 rev 902 or higher

At least full view is available for me, but I'm advised to check my surroundings or be unsafe. @Vermonster, did you update the software in your truck. Mine is still rocking the original that doesn't get OTA updates and might explain the difference.

@MiTremor906 I have auto updates enabled, so perhaps I am running more updated software. Such a goofy thing that Ford did here - likely required by some safety officer. It makes it more unsafe, IMO. I cannot wait to code it out.

They really need to rename this in Forescan. This has been solved for a while, but it’s confusing because of the description. Currently It reads “black box on reverse delete”. What it really does is “remove black box from rear facing camera” . If the spreadsheet could be renamed, it would save a lot of confusion. @ZooDad is this something you can do?
