Tire Recommendation for Highway towing.

Thanks for that advice:
if I want to keep Michelin Defender these are my 2 options:
Original size is not available 285-75-18 = 34.8 X 11.2
Bigger 295-70-18 = 34.3 X 11.6
Smaller 285-65-18 = 32.6 X 11.2
I have 4.30 Axel does this make any difference?

Interesting Just did a quick search and this tire comes in the original size. and it seems good for towing as well not a Michelin, but I won't have the size issue. strong contender will definitely consider.
Michelin unfortunately does not make a tire in your stock size. If you change sizes you absolutely should get the speedometer recalibrated. Staying stock avoids this issue. Did you look at the Yokohama at tires?

The 295/70r18 defender is not much different in size. I run these in my wife’s vehicles. She gets 70,000 to 100,000 on these tires with 5k rotations when she changes her oil.

This is an excellent highway/general purpose tire.

Coopers. That's what we use on our heavy ass work trucks. Will get stuck just looking at mud/sand. But, if you're on street only, they're bang for your buck tires for sure

Agreed. I had Cooper Discoverer AT3s on my old RAM 2500 and never had any issues with mostly highway and towing. I thought they were a good all around quiet and all season tire.

I'm talking about the street tires....😜

there's a like 98' f250 on the other end of that rope. I had pulled in nose down over to the right of that driveway entrance (you can see my tracks 😉) so I could use the drive tires to pull me up the hill. It did not work and I ended up just spinning till I got into position for this picture/pull... about 80% of the reason I bought the tremor. These work trucks get stuck on wet grass 🤣🤣
On another note. If you can keep this white truck's tires on the pavement, it will snatch a porta-potty truck right out of a ditch 😎

That could come in handy - actual security footage from my office this April 👀

Good thing there was an ODOT truck behind him 😂
