Tint on the Sunroof?

Some old-school tint shops refuse to tint sunroofs, claiming it causes the tempered glass to shatter from "thermal shock." This happens when cheap, dyed tint absorbs the heat into the glass instead of reflecting it. Premium ceramic tint reflects the heat, making it much safer. Just confirm with your installer that their warranty covers thermal glass breakage.
