Also these look pretty OEM tbh. I dont notice its even there. FitCamX you can get from amazon or their websiteAfter consideration I ended up going with the FitcamX.
A few driving factors:
- Amazon briefly went out of stock of the Sapium front + rear combo. A day later they were back but delivery was out a month+ (and I didnt want to wait..). Still showing April 10-30 on Amazon.
- Amazon is the only place you can find the Sapium one. They dont have a website and no other search references this brand.
- Fear of the pulsing blue light. haha
- I prefer the centered view of the FitcamX over the offset view of the Sapium. Which would probably also interfere with my EZ-Pass. In it's current location the rearview mirror blocks it from my view.
They do not. All of the OEM fitment units highly sacrifice video quality and storage over true function. I've been professionally installing these for many years and Viofo, Blackvue, and Thinkware are the most highly rated. Vantrue is also very good. The VIOFO A229 PRO gives you the best bang for your $. The VIOFO A329S is the best camera money can buy. It's like buying tires because you like the look of them versus how well they actually perform. Your money and I'm sure you'll be happy.Does VIOFO have a model that looks "factory" like Sapium? You are sacrificing a lot...your money...your truck. I just hate seeing people buy crap because it looks good...but that's just me.I looked at the VIOFO for about 30 seconds - just too clunky for my needs. I fully understand I am sacrificing image quality over OEM fitment. That is my preference for now.
All of the new cameras from the past few years have had no issues. The A329S is rated as the #1 dash cam on the market with the A229 PRO as the new value dash cam. The app has been fully revised and is excellent.Has VIOFO come out with a better user app for the A329s camera? Are the VIOFO camera systems holding up to heat better these days?
I installed a VIOFO A139Pro 4k 2 channel system when I bought my truck and it’s the biggest POS system. It was supposed to be one of the better dash cams back in 2022.
They don’t handle heat and the VIOFO app is clunky and unreliable. The camera doesn’t record video anymore even though it tells you it’s running. I’ve tried several high speed cards to no avail. The VIOFO system will get removed soon.
Compared to a friends older Blackvue camera and user app, the VIOFO camera I installed and user app for the system just is plain and simply crap. I’m mad at myself for buying VIOFO and getting ripped off. I thought I would never buy VIOFO again, but now I’m seeing it’s being touted as one of the better dashcams available.
I have a brand new front and rear Sapium for sale. It’s in the classified section. Shoot me a pm if interested.I've been waiting for the Sapium to come back in stock on Amazon. It has been unavailable for while now.

Yep...nothing better than the truth from AIGood to know.
Here is what Amazon Ai has compiled based on user reviews (app doesn’t sound to awesome):
Customers say
Customers find the dash cam to be of excellent quality with superb resolution, and appreciate its functionality with lots of awesome features. The installation process is straightforward, though some customers mention it requires complete rewiring. The app usability receives mixed feedback, with some finding it easy to use while others say the app sucks in almost every possible way. Customers disagree on whether the camera is worth the extra cost, and reliability is also mixed, with one customer reporting issues with the engine start-stop feature rarely kicking in.

Buy a good quality dash cam and not a POS because you don't like the looks of it.I kept putting this off until a road rage incident pushed me over the edge to get it. Then...

Feeling a little rage myself now.
I hate the look and bulk of most dash cams which is why I considered this one. Anyone know of anotherone with a similar stealthy setup?
I’m assuming you have firsthand experience with the Sapium to make a statement like that. There are some pretty smart fellers on here who seem to disagree with your assessment. Granted, they're probably not engineer-smart...Buy a good quality dash cam and not a POS because you don't like the looks of it.
