I had a Honda odyssey as a kiddo and rolled that thing so many times eventually the wheels wouldn’t sit evenly on the ground. Even got my first physics lesson about what happens when you’re upside down and pop your 4 point harness buckle

I used MTS Off-Road and was amazed by the difference. I have the live valve Fox setup, so I waited, thinking springs and valving wouldn't make much difference, but it was one of the best investments I made on my RZR.

BTW, there is a big SXS event coming up in Moab, April 23rd-25th, if anyone is interested. Guided trail rides, vendor events, and big raffles.

Info in the attachments or at RedRok Rally

I have the Live Valve as well but the ass end is drooping pretty bad, seemingly out of nowhere. I may just opt for the springs for now and have them revalve down the line. They’re about 4 hours from me, probably better to have them do the internal work and adjust it on the car.

Stock springs on all sxs suck. My 24 pro r has the live valve and the first dune trip they were toast. Any new springs have the net effect of improving the ride.

MTS offroad is what you want! The best in the business without a doubt... a few of my buddies got shock therapy and their cars felt like shit even after a few trips back to shock therapy to have them adjust it! And a few of us had MTS which by the way is day and night difference i can't even explain it! my car eats whoops at 90 mph easy also has the smart shox... long story short all of my friends went from Shock Therapy to MTS and everybody is happy with their set up

The rear limit strap setup on on the pro r by MTS is garbage, why it isn't inline with the shock itself is beyond me. Two guys in my group have this setup and they've both frayed to the point that they have failed. ST has the superior design for limit straps. Can't speak on shock/spring quality as I have ST but haven't driven an MTS build yet.

Yeah not sure about their limit strap set up for the Pro R to be honest, i have an X3 and mine is in line with the shocks... but to be honest I've seen many different brand limit straps get frayed and destroy at some point I guess some people ride harder than others I dont know I've seen sandcraft and shock therapy get frayed too... so I dont know what's the deal with the limit straps getting like that... and to be honest just like you alot of people loves their ST setup, again maybe the style of driving I dont know 🤷... but for our group and the way we ride pedal to the metal 90% of the time shock therapy has just fallen short at least for us, MTS feels just better and that is the felling we get in the dunes mostly everybody that rides in Glamis is shifting from ST to MTS

Ya the MTS attach points lead it to fray more than it should because it's actually contacting something. The driver side mount is next to the exhaust...but I'm not an engineer wtf do i know, hard to believe they couldn't figure something better out. And yea, straps are consumables, i was changing every 3 years in my 18 turbo. Our group rides hard, there's 2 funcos in the group that lead and from what i've heard from the mts guys in my group is that they eat shit in the transition/g outs just as much as I do. Thank god that oh shit button exists lol.

Right! Having an electronically control suspension is a game changer for sure I love my smart shox set up im always riding in sports+ mode when riding dunes because that's when they are the most stiff.... for everything else whoops and everything i ride in comfort mode when they're the softest... my friends that don't have smart shox or live shocks hate me because how easily I can transition from stiff to soft ! Lol!

I may go with Schmidty Racing springs on this run. My car isn’t fast enough for crazy stuff, at WOT in my stomping grounds I’m going 60mph tops. Mostly washboard / desert whoops.

I’ve read so many hit or miss things about ST, I’m sure a lot of it is fairly subjective but still. One that stuck out was a dude who said he got their springs, loved it for a year. Got the shocks rebuilt and revolved by them and hated it. Like to the point where he had them rebuilt to stock specs.

I don’t suppose anything’s blown, I’m at 688 miles and it appears that the tender springs are just weak. I ride hard enough to warrant better springs all around though.

Schmidty uses Swift which is a great company. I’ve used many of their springs on coilovers in my decades of drifting. As long as I’m accurate in my weight assessments, I think it should pan out decent.

Had to stop so my dude could pee in the dry lake bed lol. Can see even in this picture it’s probably 4-6” lower than normal. I need to grab an angle gauge and throw it on the axles.

Ya the stock springs sag from the factory, for a $50k toy you'd think they'd be marginally better than what they are.

Yup just like @captaineegee said factory spring are just plain whack!!!! the first thing you want to do your your side by side is upgraded suspension, because a car that can't handle the terrain can't go fast no matter how much HP you have behind it... after suspension you want to do your clutching it will wake up the HP you already have in the car, and if that's not enough, you start looking at tuning and bigger turbo set ups... currently enjoying the weather at primm valley watching the kiddos race The Mint 400... come over @majorbison

lol that’s a dude named Claudio. Stateline is its own haunted route. My jurisdiction is downtown / Fremont street area. Saw some guys doing tech and what not yesterday, pretty cool!

Trading one of my Harley’s for this I think tomorrow. They gave me an offer of a straight trade across so I was pretty agreeable as no sales tax was involved.
Never owned a sxs before so should be fun as I am close to iron mountain I believe for work right now. Salesman asked if I wanted to look at 4 seaters and I said I wasn’t in the market for a mini van.

As long as you still have at least one Harley, you’re good chief.

Sorry I been MIA here, been in a debacle with some warranty work with SuperATV, Baja designs and getting the new springs spec’d and ordered.

I guess I drive this thing pretty hard, maybe I should have stuck to my childhood dream of being a rally car driver lol.

In 700 miles I have 4 out of 6 blown heims, a blown bushing on a lower radius rod and my 40” Laser light bar is intermittently functioning. No doubt the heims used are cheap so I’d like to upgrade those at some point. Stripped a wheel stud with my alignment jig so found some ARP studs for a scion FRS to replace them. Wondering what else I can break on this 100hp sloth

Enjoy the new ride... Definitely different than a Harley and to be honest a 2 seater feels more enjoyable, and is the Turbo RR 205hp great choice👌! i have both a 2 and 4 seater, i just love the way the 2 seater feels specially when in 2 wheel drive... Just don't flip it or tip it in your first week of ownership and you'll be fine 🤣😂!
