Replacing the fuel filters

Thanks guys for the new part number. Shipping charges for dieselfiltersonline.com were crazy so I decided to take my chances with Amazon. Prime 2 day for $72 per filter set. Funny thing - O'reilly auto parts web page says they are not available in California. Probably causes cancer when eaten.

That's the problem with ordering from dieselfiltersonline, shipping kills the deal unless you meet their minimum purchase price for free shipping. That minimum is pretty high. I typically cross shop with Rockauto, Autozone (with coupon)and Advance Auto (with coupon).

I haven't purchased this new filter set yet, but from what I've seen, the engine bay filter has a little more robust housing. I assume to help avoid the cracking or pin holes that some have experienced in the past.

I changed the fuel filters on my 2024 Tremor today. The FD-4647 filter set from Amazon looked legit. It was an easy job, I had 1/8 tank indicated and drained just over 1/2 gallon of fuel before it stopped. Priming the fuel system twice probably took as long as changing the filters.

Anyone know of any specific changes between FD4641 and FD4647?? I figured it's just Ford updating their system for the new MY trucks.

From what I've seen, the engine bay filter has more robust webbing on the top now. Like I said in my last post, I assume it's to help avoid the cracking that some have experienced in the past.

I've not found the 4647 kit yet, I got a few of the 4641. I'll keep one to compare the two versions.
