Price and Demand (Low Inventory) *Updated

Encinitas Ford has a white Tremor on their lot but they can be pricing tough sometimes.
I would call Bobby Williams at Sunrise Ford Fontana, been buying from him for 20 years - solid and honest
You'll get killed on any trade in, just sell privately.

Just saw Encinitas has a 2nd one and put a +$5K market adjustment on it - F them
Lol... I’ve been talking to them today. Yep, 5K over. Salesman was nice over the phone, asked him to work with the GM to bring some humanity back to So Cal. He’s actually following up, but I’m not holding my breath.

I hear ya - I've been seeing a few comments/posts across all of the internets of people sharing amazing deals, and then when they're prodded it ends up they're adding in things like PCO or ADM to their quote comparison. Which I guess isn't necessarily misleading, but PCO is definitely a post-price quote thing and most people scoff at ADM.

So I'm finding it prudent to ask what people mean and I'm finding when they say they got 20% off, they mean they negotiated down from a $10k ADM and include a $5k PCO. So basically they got a little below MSRP rather than what most would think of as 20% off.
Yes verify the percentage off is from msrp and does not include pco.

I purchased mine for invoice and many other did as well or slightly below such as $500 below invoice.

Luckily my close friend is sales manager at large Ford dealership plus I plow his driveway open when it snows. Lol

Superduty sales are up here 15% and dealers are getting cocky, walking with a swagger and actually raising their prices.

I've bought every single new truck at 1K under invoice regardless of market or simply walk out.

Unfortunately this is looking more and more like the only option if I truly want to take possession ASAP.

You are correct... for the most part of swapping out to a Carlis Kit this is compromise. But... I like the upgraded axles... idea of Rock Crawl Mode, and now I’ve spent some time on this website and even spoken to some of y’all live on the phone in the middle of the night.

Going to need this truck so I can stay on the forum here ;)

But I do think the resale value as well as the “exclusivity” are selling points too. But also being a realist... I don’t think the Ford Credit incentives are “great” right now. I know I’d get better finance through my own credit union but finding a truck, arranging the finance, and taking delivery by 12/31 is looking tough.

With the old Rona in Southern California I’m not sure even traveling out of state is feasible at the moment just due to timing. Doing a final “Hail Mary” search right now is my mission. My wife would let us car shop today just so I shut up about this. She’s blown away by the fact I’m not getting the truck I want and she’s even saying only settle for a Tremor and make it happen (she knows bigger truck=bigger trailer, and I’d go on further journeys).

Crossing my fingers.
Really you should get what you want, just decide what is what you can live with or can’t. It’s your time and money so you need to be happy with your choice so take your time. Don’t worry about incentives of the super duty trucks, I have never really seen any that are as good as you see with F150s or other brands. Find a price range that you can live with and start working from there. Have you tried ken Gordy Ford or Santa margarita Ford?

Call Villa Ford in Orange. I know for a fact there’s a 2021 6.7 F350 Tremor Black on Black Lariat. Everything except the sun roof. Saw it there this morning when I picked up my Iconic Silver Tremor. I ordered the black one but changed my mind a few weeks later and they had to start another order for the silver. I got xplan on mine, apparently they were trying to get over sticker (81k) for the black one but it’s still there... Worth going in with xplan pin ready when they show you the truck. Ask for Jim, he is who placed the order on it.

Just offer them 75k and give them your number. I bought my F150 from them but didn't even call them about my Tremor. Their trade numbers SUCK btw

Actually ran into a friend I have seen in years at the gas station... of course he was in his new Tremor from Grody. Santa Margarita and Ken Grody have all been pricey. I have a feeling after X Mas they may start negotiating at the end of month. Gracias!

Thank you, I will do that. They are pretty close actually. I mean now we know they have done X Plan. I love Black when clean but horrible when dirty. However I almost started considering a Platinum FX4 today because another dealership was really trying to make a deal. But I’m back on Tremor mode now.

Well... to be honest I had a decent interaction with a salesman named Eric. He really did go to bat and worked hard. They have 2 tremors but 1 does NOT have uplifter switches which for some reason turned me off.

But to be fair... haven’t used them in the Raptor yet.

So I might need to work on that deal more. They did want the Raptor. I think they really helped.

that has to be future Ford of concord shitty dealer all around service, sales.parts they just burned someone last week on a lariat 10k over msrp
It is just how the Future Dealerships do business. Future of Roseville and Future of Sacramento are both HORRIBLE to do business with. Their sales guys are taught to swarm you as soon as you step on the lot, and then the pressure cooker is on. 7 years ago when I was looking for a new 150, I had a sales manager tell me in a condescending way that I was looking for a needle in a haystack instead of offering to order for me. F- them.

If anybody knows a dealership geographically reasonable to Orange County, willing to work a deal... wants a CLEAN 2019 Raptor w/Low miles and will take X Plan or negotiate to sticker... I swear I’d PAY A BOUNTY.

The members here have been great and we’re an all Ford Family... Cut me and I’d bleed blue.

I should have gotten on this sooner but it was really out last few camping trips that made me want Diesel Power all over again.

We had a family member die on Thanksgiving which was my son’s B-Day.

Our puppy fell deathly ill on my B-Day 12/15 and I had to spoon feed the thing and nurse him back to life (literally). So I missed out on a couple of the deals I was working (we think he was actually poisoned by the neighbors).

My only pity party is about missing out on the fricken trucks.

I bought a 2020 Expedition Limited 4x4 with HD towing since it had a better rating than the Raptor... it’s just still not the same. Short wheelbase makes it porpoise and the track width obviously didn’t provide the stability of the Raptor.

Fricken love the Expedition but I want a truck and hold onto it this time as I’m turning into an old man (Late 30’s). But seriously... RV’ing has maintained our family’s sanity during 2020 and of course we want to keep that rolling into 2021.

Thanks all!
I got a good deal from Ken Grody Ford in burns park, but it was an order. The Ford search inventory page shows they have some dealer ordered units coming.

Sent you a message on a truck

So the General Sales Manager of my local dealer sent me an email last week of my 'Preview Order'. At the bottom it says "This is not an invoice". I get that but at the top there is a box labeled 'Priority Code' with a value of 99 and another called 'Price Level' with a value of 115. Does anybody have an idea what those numbers are and how I might exploit them to my advantage?

Not trying to hijack, but didn't want to start a new thread when I found this one.

I've been looking for a few weeks for a Lariat Tremor and there isn't much inventory in Wisconsin. i tried using Costco and the Northern Il dealer actually responded with 'we are sold out of Super Dutys for a while, sorry'. All I did was ask if they could beat X plan for an ORDER.

I seem to be cursed with two things, the need for instant gratification, and wanting vehicles that are either not out for a while, ie. Bronco Warthog, 2021 Raptor or ones that are hard to get.

Appreciate this thread and looking forward to doing more research here and getting to know you all.

Welcome! Were you a nose or a ball turret gummer?

I am not sure you will be able to exploit them, as they are fairly normal for a preview order. My priority code was 80 and my price level was 115. When your order is placed, the priority range will be anywhere from 10-19, but the price level of 115 should remain the same. The lower the priority code the faster your order will be built.

I specifically asked for a priority code of 10 (highest priority allowed on a retail order) to put mine ahead of other orders. My dealer initially said I would need to put down a $1000 down payment because Ford will penalize them if they do not sell priority 10 ordered vehicles within 30 days to discourage dealers from using 10 on all of their special orders. After reviewing my order which was fairly standard, other than the lack of a moonroof, he never asked me for the down payment.

One key point to ask is if they have Super Duty allocations before you place the order. It does not matter how low of a priority code you have, your order will not get picked up if the dealer has no allocations.
