Portable air compressor(s)?

I’m sick and tired of lowering my tire pressure once we un-hitch the 5er at the camp site, then trying to find somewhere around town the night before we leave to air up again & paying for air.
The other option, and what I do now, is leave the tires at towing pressure. The only reason I would lower them is if I was planning to do any serious off-roading. I've hit some fire/forestry roads and tire pressure wasn't an issue. I have the twin ARB and adjusted pressures on a couple trips initially but it's just one more thing to do so I axed it from the list and haven't regretted it.

I have a Viair 450P-RV.

Last trip with the RV we ended up with two flats, one on the truck and one on the camper. I carry a tire plug kit along with the compressor. Fixed both in no time without dismounting the wheel.

The compressor also supports our road/mountain biking habit.

Same here. Unless I am going very far away from camp 😎

Viair 440P here - been working great for years. Used it primarily for my Jeep.

I carry two compressors when I trailer with the Tremor

This lives in the bed mounted JOBBOX, VIVAR for big jobs, think Sand Dune pressures

and the Dewalt to raise trailer tires 10-15 psi for a heavy load - it works, but slow

I used to primarily run the Powertank, super awesome for popping beads back on, and airing up. Also, great for running air tools, as the high pressure you can get a little more juice out of your tools (not condoning this action, but I've used it for stuck bolts before.) I did an Airgas 20 lb tank that is swapped out at any Airgas.

100% with dzrtdzl Milwaukee... https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...Portable-Inflator-Tool-Only-2848-20/320022879 I use this for all my farm equipment livestock trailers, equipment trailers etc. Wont leave town without it, fit in the under seat storage. Have had it now for about 4 yrs. Has 4 memorys so you just turn it on push the memory button you want to use and walk away, when it reaches pressure it shuts off. For me on the farm its been a game changer

Hell, I don't even use the memory. I just set it when I turn it on. Still is very simple though 😉

Yes, you can also manually set the pressure turn it on and it will stop when reached. I have a number of different tires with different pressures so memory works great for me.

I used to carry the Dewalt but finally retired it to low pressure / high volume inflatables. The M18 is at least twice as fast to fill a tire.

Thanks for all the replies, fellas. I ended up purchasing a MorrFlate FiveSix Gen 2 with a 20’ extension. They have a “No questions asked” 90 day return policy and an unlimited lifetime warranty due to mechanical failure. If it dies or I don’t care for it in the first 3 months I’ll look elsewhere.

I carry an M18 inflator with 6AH battery in the truck. I had a slow leak that I wasn’t fixing cause I was getting new tires for the last two years haha. I put a quick release chuck on it so it is much more user friendly.

Not as cool as onboard air, but definitely cheaper and it can go anywhere without the truck as well.

I use the 12ah but it's a part of my whole work collection of batteries. I have a couple 8s and a couple 12s and an emergency 5ah in the garage that I haven't even opened. Guys like to leave my chargers/batteries on jobs hours away sometimes 🤷🤦🤣

I installed a Viair compressor and 2.5 gallon tank onboard. It’s perfect for random needs and tires here and there. I have a morrflate tensix pro and 4 tire hose setup for when I’m offroading and such. I love that thing. Set it and forget it. I like having both setups since the moreflate isn’t always with me

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but is Pro Power required? Could I just run my 5 gallon compressor powered from the 120v outlet in the cab?
If you don't have Pro-Power, your truck will limit the outlet to 400w. I think the start up surge of a compressor will trip the outlet.

All Ryobi, all work great, no matter how much heat I get about it. (Milwaukee and Ryobi. Same parent company.)
EDIT FOR CLARITY
I have the impact, 1 gallon compressor, mini digital compressor, ratchet and other tools that run on the 18v system. Just like Milwaukee. I have 2/1.5, 2/4 and 2/6 AH batteries. It works for me and my 5th wheel RV.

The cab power is plenty for it and my starlink.

None from me. My Ryobi stuff has been phenomenal and I have way too much of it to switch now. :p
