Hey yall I posted on the FB group and didn’t get much feedback. I noticed a nick in my paint the other day which brought out my OCD and I decided to look over the entire truck. 2024 F250 iconic silver

-Bed liner on both front and rear bumpers
-both rear doors seem to be bent
-a weird bump on rear door jambs
-sloppy panel glue on roof around weather stripping
-something underneath the paint on the hood
-and there’s writing on my wheels

The writing on the wheels is normal and will wash off easy. I may have just used my thumb, or some isopropyl alcohol.

For the other stuff, I'd definitely take it to the dealer.

So I bought from a dealer in a different state and won’t be making that trip back to them lol I heard that if they repaint it won’t be as good/hard as factory. Is this true?

Can be true with a body shop that focuses more on quantity than quality. If you pick your own body shop, it may work in your favor. Plus you can have them do any other paintwork at the same time while the truck is there, like paint correction.

I have iconic silver as well. The paint finish quality is definitely not at a level that matches the MSRP of these vehicles. When my truck is backed in the shop and the sun comes through the shop door onto the paint the finish looks terrible. Missed edges, light and heavy spots (base shows through). I'd compare it to something one would expect to see in a garage paint job but that would be implying garage paint jobs suck (I've seen garage paint jobs that blow away expectations of what garage quality means)
I chose to live with it. It is a pickup truck after all and not a Porsche. My luck: the current goof ups look better then the replacement would look.
If you want that bed liner off the bumpers try some 99% isopropyl alcohol. Its possible itll work. That should would on the wheel marking too.
Don't look under your hood, that will drive you crazy.

Honestly I can live with the paint but the bent doors get under my skin and the globs of glue on top but only I’ll notice those

Moto is spot on... consider how much you want it changed b/c there is a chance trying to make it better may make it worse.

I forget what i used but i can attest that bed liner overspray is not hard to cleanup. Had to do it on my previous pickup

Personally, I could let slide everything but the dents. On that, I'd tend to let my inner a-hole come out. I would not have them repainted, I'd cause a ruckus and want doors replaced. IMHO, the dents should have been caught by QC. Remember, Farley came out and shut down production to "fix" QC and said that they had achieved it when production resumed. SMH.

My MY24 came with a few small dents, a tiny paint blemish/bump on the roof, sloppy windshield sealant, and some overspray from the bedliner. I had the dents mostly taken out when I had PPF installed and removed the overspray with a clay bar. I didn't do anything about the paint blemish as it is in the center of the roof and you can't see it unless you climb up there on a ladder. Same with the windshield sealant as it is on top and isn't really noticeable.

I would caution on wanting anything repainted. Many years ago, I had a Mercedes that had an issue with a crease that was barely visible in the plastic rear bumper that I didn't notice until after about a month of ownership (car was white). I got the dealer to warranty it because I had a picture of the temporary tag license plate from the day I bought it and you could see the crease as it just looked like a shadow. Dealer first sent it off to be repaired and repainted and it came back with horrible orange peel. Sent it off again to get refinished again and came back worse with more paint issues and sanding dust everywhere inside the interior. Dealer then had it detailed inside and ordered a new bumper and that one didn't have orange peel but it wasn't a perfect match and would have driven me crazy. Finally, the dealer agreed to trade it back in for another one but didn't give me what I paid for it as it had 2k miles but made up the difference with prepaid maintenance so I came out roughly even. I may have been able to lemon law it but at that point I didn't want to screw around anymore with it.

I think I’m gonna bring it to service and see what they say I’ll make it clear not to touch the paint

I have a thread for this, it was an absolute fucking shit show.

Edit: link to my experience. Also just discovered when buying my fifth wheel, body shop never put a new door sticker on.

Dude…

I have to agree that the poor quality of the vehicles does not match the price paid.

What about this?

Too late! Why doesn't ford paint under the hood?

They once did, one of many cost cutting deletes but the price keeps increasing!

almost everything youre pointing out in the paint is normal for ford and their super duty in silver. I had a 2019 in ingot silver, there was 4 sags in the paint. I just lived with it cause i didnt want the 20 year old in the body shop wetsanding and attempting to buff out my brand new truck. My 22 I chose carbonized gray, only flaws i have found are 2 dust nibs in the paint that I easily fixed myself.

bent doors is pretty common on the SD, I have a buddy who works at KTP he tracked my truck down the line. It spent 2 extra days there trying to get the doors straightened.
