You shoulda seen the TOs those Rooskie cowboys were doing with a big load at a density alt of about 10500'! On a rough dirt field get her rolling a bit, pull enough to get the rear wheels off a couple of feet, build more speed WHILE ROLLING ON THE NOSE WHEEL, THEN START BOUNCING HER UNTIL airborne! They were nuts but GOOD! Those things are flying tanks! Did I mention we were landing at near max payload at a density alt of 16,000'? It was a strictly one way approach and there was no wave off possible! Yee Hah!

That’s crazy! To much pucker factor for this guy!

how do you like your Yamaha 242?

It's a been a great boat, tubing, wake boarding etc. lol run it on one engine and troll for whipper/cat fish well kinda *
they are very roomy seats 11-12 I forget and the swim deck is flat out one of the most used features for my family.
it moves my family around the lake at 4300' between 40-44mpg but hear they are a 55mph boat @ sea level.
One other item is they a hella EZ to winterize.

Good to hear, I just bought a Yamaha 252. Hope to pick it up in a couple weeks and get it out on the water. They are nice boats.

In 1962' we moved into what we call today the Country Suburbs, in Northern California. My Father brought home a brand new Coupe DeVille. It was a Medium Turquoise color with matching leather interior. The Wheel covers were pained just a shade or two lighter than the car .. it was also our first car with A/C. Shortly after, dad was one-up'd. Our next door neighbor bought a Bright Red T-Bird Roadster with real wire wheels. That was hands down, the most beautiful car I'd ever seen. A bit later, another neighbor drove home in new Black on Black Riviera .. Those days were definitely the who's who of driving style. The "rich" neighbor, Mr Parker lived just up the hill, he drove a Lincoln Continental Convertible every couple of years .. The cars were beautiful, just like the wives. Always in dresses, sweet and polite. How time has changed ..
