I wasn't going to bring that up but since you did please accept my condolences. That's a hard pill to swallow, but at least you have Schalke for company!

Cool to see all the variety here.

you know, I get that comment a lot. I got an incredible deal on the forged motor built for a big shot of nitrous that I just couldn’t pass up. Also hard to argue with 450rwhp/404rwtq for the price of a $3k long block

There’s some logic I cannot argue with. The 331ci short block for my 94 was about $3k iirc…

these things certainly are fun money pits though
No doubt.
Had a Yellow 94 mustang gt, full maximum motorsports suspension, 331 w/ a 15lb Vortech blower and all the goodies to support. 497 @ wheels on 89 pump gas. Had access to a full shop and a master mechanic as a very dear friend/mentor to walk me through the whole build.

Red 2012 CA Special GT, full suspension, intake and exhaust only. No garage access at that time.

Once wife and I move, building out a garage shop or a separate building as a shop depending on where we land, and the next project car is an 89-92 notch back with full coil over suspension and a coyote w 6 speed. Maybe blown, maybe stock, not sure yet.

thats awesome. Very cool you were able to learn from such a knowledgeable person. Unfortunately coming across these knowledgeable people is becoming more and more difficult.

what a coincidence. I have their max grip packages on my cobra. their stuff is 2nd to none. Ive been very happy with it all. I was able to do the suspension install all myself, but building a motor is totally foreign to me. I'd love to find somebody willing to teach me that skill.

I got so lucky. He is still a very dear friend, just had to move out of state… but that may make him the lucky one, as I am still stuck in CA…. We stay in touch often thankfully.

Love the MM system. No brainer choice when I get to this fox body project of mine (if I can ever find a reasonably priced one… ugh)
