Cheers my friend!

Now's who's your favorite band and guitarist?
I would say Slash for guitarist, my wife would say Joe Satriani.

Favorite band, oof, I could never narrow it to one.

Counterweight pulled through the brake so as the counterweight is going down the elevator is going up. Doors shouldn’t have opened. Normally in that scenario the elevator moves more than 2-3” in the door zone with the doors open it trips a safety called uncontrolled motion and drops the emergency brake.

Couple things - that likes look a LULA - limited use / limited application elevator. Cheap little things you’ll find in people’s homes sometimes. Not a real commercial unit.

That’s a good way to get cut in half / dismembered / pinched to death

This stuff doesn’t happen very often in the us. It’s prevalent in china and other places that don’t maintain safety standards like we do. Most of the elevator fatalities we have are from elevator mechanics because we’re crawling around these things on top and underneath. There’s steps to follow to do it safely but sometimes people rush and forget or think it’s not a big deal.

Last but not least - elevators suck. Take the stairs, make healthy choices in your life

Thank you sir! I like what you did there with "there's steps to follow." Absolutely brilliant 😁.

I almost always go down stairs. But, I always go up in the elevator. Mainly because I have to carry stuff and make many trips 😉

There was a fly in my coffee... 🤮

That was probably the closest call I've seen in an elevator that wasn't part of a movie! Even the jankiest roach hotel elevators are designed triple safe as far as I'm aware, from the brake system to the power to the counter weight system's used... likely more serious injuries walking up/down stairs than in elevators statistically.

... fricking fly just ruined my day dammit 😒 😑 😤 ☕️ wasted!

Let's put it this way: which band would you choose to play at your funeral? That should do it.

At my funeral will be Weird Al's greatest hits.

Holy shit that's a $1,000 chip! Dude, send that to me 🤪.

It's just a souvenir chip. Since you have two, place them on your nipples 😁.
That'll cost you $1000 for the pic. Extra $100 for the feet included 😜

And there was actually a casino called Lucky Strike Club (it's ok to click on the link, it's not cougars or anything):
