Odometer/Speedometer calibration

Is there anything out there to remove the speed limiter on the 22s?

my speedo typically shows 1 mph faster than Waze gps shows.

now my tires are getting close to worn out. tread almost to the wear markers. my speedo shows 2 mph more than gps.

frustrating
worth messing with
🤷🏻‍♂️

Sorry, I’ve been working a bunch and haven’t been around. The number I used in forscan is 2770 for 37’s. You have to do a PCM AND TCM relearn after. That will shut off the CEL.
Thank you!

This double relearn was the missing piece for me to get 2770 to take for my 37s!

I've just been driving around knowing my speedo was under my actual speed when above 55. Now I seen spot on (per Waze) up to 75.

I thought is was odd that every time I passed a radar speed sign it always showed I was going slower than I thought. I finally did some testing with my GPS and sure enough it's 1 mph off.
16=15, 26=25, 36=35, 46=45, 56=55, 66=65, 76=75, 86=85 I find it odd it maintains 1 mph, it must be my old school thinking that if it is off by 1 at slow speed it should be off by more at higher speed.

Anyone else notice this on their truck?

Dropping off at dealer this morning. Plus oil filter leaks after the 1st service, needs about 500 miles after wipe down to show the leak again. Outside vent opens while recirc light stays lit, I got an update last week and now this seems to happen every 30 minutes vs the 45-60 minutes I noticed before, someone here mentioned this is built in for condensation, that would make sense.

mine's been 1mph slow compared to Waze gps from day one. bought used & it had 35" nitto ridge graplers. i just attributed it to the tires slightly smaller in circumference.

the wrong tire circumference would make it register the same across all speeds.

wouldn't want it saying I'm going slower than i actually am either, though. i find I'm pretty much doing 80 anywhere i go anyway so 🤷🏻‍♂️

the thing i really don't like is it shortens the warranty mileage. another reason i wish 37"s fit!!!

If your tire is say 3% larger than what the truck expects, your speedometer will read 3% lower at any given speed.

1 MPH is within the margin of error in my book.

Hopefully that wasn't too long winded @Godzilla/Tremornator ;) 😂

A lot of manufactures do this and typically program to be up to 2 mph slower for safety and legal reasons.

☝️ This. Very true
It's sometimes worse depending on the vehicle. I drove a Subaru for a little while that was close to 4mph off at 55

Same here. My 22's been 1 mph off since new.

If you’re the type that runs from the 5-O it could mean EVERYTHING!

Take no offense to this but if you're worried about this, you must have a perfect life.
Pretty much, life is good. I own everything and have no money in the stock market, lol. My issue comes from years of OCD. I have gone to bigger tires before and let the change in the speedo go after being told no adjustment possible on my 2019 F150, adjusted accordingly. This way you do get a little more warranty since the odometer is slow too. Since I spent 100k after taxes thought it should be dead nuts on  We'll see of it can be adjusted, I'd probably be fine if I was going faster than it says.

Probably pretty damn good compared to what you've got going on...

In all seriousness, hope your truck is back on the road. Thought I remembered seeing an update to that effect.

not too long winded but incorrect
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
backwards!!!!!
@Optimus🤖
leave that alone!!!!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

can't agree more with the 1mph, I've lived with it for 82k miles
but
if your tire circumference or diameter is larger than the data in the truck computer. the speedometer will read slow. you will be going further with each tire revolution than the truck thinks. therefore faster than the speedometer readout!!!!

sorry to be picky just want good info on here. + it's one of my personalty faults. i hate going down rabbitholes but i can't help it!!!!!
