Not a Tremor, but Trailer Sway

Crazy the jeep didn't hit anything too! Do they not have an emergency brake thing for these situations? Never dollied a car before, always did the tow rope and ride in the towed car( only when they've broken down and only a few miles😉)
 
Just because you have a SD doesn’t mean it will compensate for improper trailer weight distribution. Our rule for trailering is: if the load doesn’t create a little sag on the rear truck suspension, it is going to be trouble!!
 
That trailer was certainly improperly loaded. All that weight hanging off the back probably resulted in a negative amount of tongue weight.

Using the trailer brakes(assuming they even work to begin with) can help to manage sway for unfavorable loads. Slower speeds are also required as the effect is amplified the faster you are going. All of this is only possible if you are aware of the situation you are in before you set out.
