Wow, went from 18k down to $50!? Now that's a deal! 🤪

How does this compare with the factory warn one, same?

Geeze. Does anyone actually use hooks anymore? Soft shackles are the way to go.

Well you need to connect the winch line via something. That need to be done via a hook it a closed system.

But regardless if soft shackles vs hard shackles (and people should own both) you still need something at the end of the line.

Loop and soft shackle. No metal needed.

Very few ( if any ) are running loop only. If you aren’t using something like the Widget from Maxtrax, the rope falls back into the winch bumper.

Factor 55 pieces or hooks still are what 99.9% are doing.

At the end of the day, how you decide to manage your winch line is not something I’m too concerned with. Important part is you have one!

To each his own. Totally unnecessary. Much safer w/o metal hooks, widgets and various other over priced things dangling off your rope end.

Getting some metal out generally is a good thing. We love soft shackles where applicable.

But there really isn’t much connect energy transfer in a synthetic line. If something did break, it should usually drop.
