It doesn’t add HP. It’s changes how the torque and throttle respond. My way to explain it is it allows you to adjust the driving dynamics.
I turned it all the way up to max performance and it was stupid how insane the truck drove. My wife’s cousin had known about these and such but never tried. He is a mechanic and has a tuned mustang and used go help on a dragster. When I let him try it all the way up. He just started laughing and said it make no sense that a super duty responds like that but it’s so much fun (then apologized for all the gas he was about to waste). My son calls it “rocket” mode now.
As Optimus said, once you have one and are used to it , when it is removed or becomes unplugged … I get scared that my truck is broken. Then remember oh wait forgot to plug it back in.
