Well, mines a bit controversial I guess. Been a Border Patrol Agent for close to 22 years. Back in the day, you’d catch a groups of folks in the desert and have to write them up on a field form. You would have a guy in front of you and ask him his name multiple time and he’d just stare at you. Finally, you’d lower your write up kit and ask him, “ senoir, como se llama”? What’s your name? And he’d look at you and say “Quien, Yo?” Who me?
He was the only person in front of you and it always blew my mind that they were being sincere and truly didn’t know you were asking them the questions. Once they realized you were speaking to them, they were super helpful and you’d get them written up and down the road pretty quick after that. But 9 out of 10 guys would state at you and ask “Quien Yo” after about the third time asking them simple biographical questions. Must be a cultural thing.
Anyways, that’s my screen name, QUIENYO.
