I’m ready for brakes

Anyone found a pad that produces less dust than the OEM? I'm always surprised how much dust the fronts make.
I've always had the orange / rust covered dust on my f350 rims since 1995 ........alot has changed but the dust and amount

I normally get 60k - 70k out of front pads. always stayed with oem replacement parts, have to listen to friends laugh at my orange rims all the time
I usually buy ceramic pads, but stick to oem rotors.

Religiously do rotors every 2nd set of pads, and never have them turned or re surfaced.

The woman is actually really easy on brakes too. She's a mountain momma, and an excellent driver.

She deserves her supertruck, and knows how to handle it too!

Anyone service the electric rear parking brake yet ??

PowerStop Z36's for the win!

Had anyone found a pad the produces more??? 🤣

Honestly, one of the dirtiest brake pads I've ever seen!

Yes! Always Maxi Extra Heavy pads suck! 🤪

I'm very close to a brake job at 91k regularly towing 10k in the hills of TN and beyond. I am probably going with the power stop z36 setup rotors and pads. Looks like many here did the same setup.

I got 80K out of my 2012 as well. Did all 4 then too but used OEM parts.

I do like 90% highway driving just cruising and not touching the brakes. Towing about 50% of the time with between 8-20K lbs.

Also land in the midwest is flat. I can drive for probably 500 miles in any direction and not go up or down more than 100feet in elevation.
I can drive 30 miles and do a 4500’ elevation gain.

I run frozen rotors slotted rotors and hawk HP pads. Will do the rears the same when they finally die out.

I finally have some time to do a brake job—I’m at 32k miles.

I was looking at the PowerStop Z36 pads and was planning on getting the full kit with rotors. Does replacing the rotors really matter at this mileage, or would pads alone be fine? Is there a better option than the PowerStops, or does anyone have another recommendation?
Pads if they're

Pads alone are fine if no rotor damage. Seems early in mileage. Mine made like 80k mikes

If you're doing brakes, might be worth the time and money to do SS lines from Carli/Icon/PMF etc.

It make a very noticeable improvement in feel and stopping power, imo.

It’s always worth the time and slight added expense.
