Husky X-act vs Weathertech HP vs Ford OEM

Thanks for clarifying what I was thinking too, that people were buying the cheaper versions and saying the "whole brand is bad". What year are yours if you dont mind me asking?
I bought them last year shortly after I bought the truck. So July-Aug 2025 timeframe.

I did see one review on their site for a super duty that mentioned the front was the upgraded premium type and the rear was the cheaper more plastic version. Something to consider.

Mine are both the same "premium" material.

Wonder if they accidentally shipped the wrong rear to that person, they didnt contact them to ask and just wrote a bad review. That stuff happens all the time with everything.

Thanks for the heads up, ill shoot them an email and confirm here whatever they say
Good call, here is the review for reference.

Added their comment, stating "its the same material" to my previous post. How do you like yours?

OK I think I may know what that person was talking about now. I never really noticed until I went an looked at them. They are the same base material but the rears have a harder coating or diff mfg process applied on the bottom. Likley due to how big it is. I think if the large long rear didnt have that you could possibly see some bunching/movement given how long and flat the rear area is. The fronts are definatley more pliable but they also have a lot more shapes and contours than the rear does to keep the rigidity, along with the secure attachments like the OEM mats. Plus they are smaller and are cupped by the truck's floor shape.

I dont see this as being an issue at all. I still think they are great mats and would buy them again.

Tuxmat. I’ll never look back.

I had husky over factory over weather tech over the years.

I loved the husky. Nothing wrong for the right price.
Factory is fine but cheap’ish
I disliked my weather tech purely based on the shipping costs.

I switched to tuxmat. Same price as husky but better coverage.
I currently have the Ford rubber mats from the factory and they are terrible. In my Tundra I had Husky mats, which were great, but it seems like both the Husky and WeatherTech offerings do not cover the carpet area next to the seats. I saw that the Tuxmats do cover those areas, which had me curious. How does the material and thickness compare to the Husky mats?

The material is completely different in my opinion vs weathertech or Husky. I bought some tuxmats for my Bronco Raptor and had to return them because they were the incorrect ones. Having said that, I didn't really have an issue with the material or anything to do with them, but when purchasing for my new truck, i chose to go back to Husky. I just didn't like them as much, but I also did not really get to use them, so take that for what its worth.

Is there a way you could put into context what the difference in material was? Floppier, thinner, thicker, slicker, rougher, etc?

It's different material and thickness

It's about double the thickness (it's kinda quilted in pattern if that makes sense) and it's more like fabric textured rubber.

I love the coverage as I have dogs and the hair goes everywhere.

It's floppier along the doors but thicker everywhere least. Not slick as it's textured.

I got them off amazon so that's an option to get them and return if you don't like them

You can get f150's as they fit the F250's and F350's as well. All the insides are the same.

Weathertech HP

Made in USA and way better than the original material.

I have the original weathertech mats in my car because it came with them. They are noticeably harder and slicker under your feet with wet boots/shoes. I'll probably end up replacing them eventually.

Yes, it definitely did have better coverage.

The rubber itself i think is much thinner... but i believe it is layered which created the overall more thick mat. A ribbed / textured / dimpled thin layer of rubber with insulation or something sandwiched between another bottom layer of the same rubber. Its just hard to describe, but it is very different than any other floormats i have ever had. It is not rigid at all either.

Leaning towards the Husky's for appearance alone, wish one of them didn't block the sil plate and obscure the platinum logo, but I digress

I had the factory all weather and I have had the old weather techs. I have also seen the huskies. To me the HPs are where it’s at. I’m very happy with the new material that is similar to the huskies. I personally think the huskies look cheap. However, I think the huskies would perform better in the snow as it seems like they could manage a larger amount of water.

Tuxmat for the win! More coverage than anything else and price is fair.

Sorry brother. I should have said is don’t use it on everything. I could care less what you put on your floormats. I just don’t think it’s good to use on everything
Nor do I, but for floor mats, all day.

I got the weather tech using my ford points at the dealer. They haf both versions.

Chose the old material because it seemed more durable and had higher sides to keep melted snow and mud off the carpet.

As I am just a filthy construction worker, drability was my #1 concern.

Having never tried another brand, I'm very happy with them. They don't cover the sills but damn they can hold a lot of liquid before spilling.

My other trucks just have vinyl floors i cam hose out., so i never really cared before getting this nice one.

I'll look into the tuxmats for the wife's expo, but like others I do my best to buy American when possible.

They do look nice, and apoear to cover all the way around the seats.
