Great thread!
Searching:
When searching, if you use the "Google search" function it will direct to you to specifics.:

If you use the "Forum search" function, the results are generalized. It will direct you to the words used. Some threads will show just the word "delete" even though it has nothing to do with "carpet."
Try it. Type "carpet delete" into the Google search and you'll be shown a specific thread. If you use the forum search function, you'll get many threads will those words.
There's pros and cons to both. I've found answers to something even though it wasn't in a specific thread. It just happened that someone posted something in a other thread and I caught it.
Posting pics/videos:
It's easier if you use the toolbar for posting pics, rather than using the lower "Attach files" in the lower left-hand corner:

When using the "Attach files" function, you have to insert the photo then choose between thumbnail and full image. Too many steps to achieve the same thing.
As far as videos, use the toolbar as well. Only your videos will appear:

If you choose "Attach files" you have to click on your directed action and you'll notice your whole gallery appears. This takes quite some time to find a video.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: You should only upload a video in a smaller format such HD and 30 FPS (adjust your camera settings on your phone). This will allow for at least an 18 second upload. If you increase the resolution, it might not appear and/or you'll only get a short amount of duration.
I don't know if these are tips or tricks but just what I do. I'm sure the moderators are better versed and can chime in with their experiences. As far filters are concerned, I recommend K&N
