2026 F350 Lariat Tremor
Hello,
I am here to ask for HELP please. I have changed many things on my 2026 F350 and love what Forscan can do (autohold, remove XM, remove black box, temps on gages, trailer tpms, Bambi mode, etc). However, I have attempted to change the signal flashes from the factory setting of 3 to 5 or 7. When ever I perform the task in either plain english settings or Hex, I get error messages that the cycle was interrupted and nothing is changed. Can someone please help me to figure out what I may be doing wrong or what I need to do to get this to work out. I have used many different number letter combinations from different posts, but nothing is working. I dont know if it could be my OBDLink EX Adapter, I am using an HP laptop with windows 10 completely updated. I also recently flashed the OBDLink to the newest version of firmware from their website. I am using the latest version of Forscan that I can find, version 2.3.71 with a free license. I appreciate any help and I Thank You in advance.

Hey there, you aren't doing anything wrong, and your OBDLink and software setup are perfectly fine.

The issue is that starting with the 2023+ Super Duty redesign, Ford actually locked the turn signal flash count parameter in the SCCM. While this is a super easy FORScan edit on the 17-22 trucks (I run 5 flashes on my '22), the 2023-2026 modules will reject the code every single time. Whenever you try to write a new value to 724-01-01—whether in Plain English or Hex—the SCCM blocks it and throws that exact 'cycle was interrupted' error you are seeing.

For now, we just have to wait and see if the FORScan devs can find a backdoor. Make sure you revert your flash count back to the factory default of 3 in the menu so your module writes cleanly without errors, and clear any communication DTCs that popped up from the failed attempts.

Don't sweat it too much—keep in mind your truck will automatically add two extra flashes whenever you have a trailer connected anyway.

⚠️ WARNING: Module Corruption
Repeatedly forcing rejected As-Built data to a locked module can cause memory corruption and potentially brick the SCCM. Do not attempt to force this specific parameter until a firmware workaround is discovered.

I never realized that. But then I usually click mine on and let if flash for a mile so the dumb bucks in town get the clue I'm coming over...

My 26 accepted the 5 flash change without error.

Months ago I posted the following:

Turn Signal Flashes

Module: SCCM (Steering Column Control Module).

Format: Plain English (Highly Recommended).

Location: Open SCCM (Configuration). Look for "Number of Turn Signal Flashes" or "Turn Signal Flash Count". The factory default is 3, but the dropdown usually allows you to select 1, 3, 5, or 7 flashes.

Note on HEX: If you prefer As-Built, it is located at 724-01-01 xxxx x*xx xxxx. Changing the asterisk alters the count (for example, 6 usually dictates 5 flashes, and 8 dictates 7 flashes), but again, the Plain English menu is perfectly stable for this change.

This worked for some people but didn't for others. Can you add any info that can help OP?

I had the same issue when my 25 was a month old. There are 2 options, reach out to @ZooDad or wait for a newer version of Forscan. I was able to get a beta copy that allowed me to make the changes.
