Yes, much easier. I'll get you pictures shortly.

I mounted two in the very front, two in the middle-front on the cross member thingy, two on each sides underneath the running boards, and three in the rear. I don't have a spare tire so fishing the wires was super easy; no spare also resulted in no shadows either.

Two lights attached to this cross-member thingamajig:

Running boards - passenger front. Mind you, I have the Boost Auto Lumastep M1's. If you have the OEM boards, you can place them in similar fashion (driver's side is the same):

Running boards - passenger back:

Rear - driver's side. Passenger's side circled in red:

Rear center (wire fished through the spare tire location):

Will connect the white wire to either an up fitter or D-Switch for white LED function if the remote has issues.

Mine are wired to the upfitter. The lights remember the previous setting so I never have to use the remote. I also never use the app. Set it and forget it!
