FBOP2 Build Thread

Here we go fellas :) She's still dirty but wanted to drop the photos. I'm only getting a slight bit of rubbing on the Front-Pax-side flare when turning but the other clears fine (no idea why, lol). Flares work great with the gasket that comes with it. Electrical line was too short so they had to lengthen it and they got the job done. 'Can definitely tell the Spare sticks out more now with the Trophy Hitch.

@S2kstephen I got them at Tire Rack, $100 off for store pickup + another $80 off for the holiday last week. Keep in mind I went DOWN to D's from E's, so they're 37x13.50x17's... but I can honestly say with the E-Venture, this thing drives like a Cadillac. I'm in complete disbelief how much of a game changer this was. I will say how previously, the Duratracs with the old wheels...felt like I was driving a rickshaw, now its crazy smooth and feels rock solid. It tracks down the road like an arrow.

Brother she looks great! Nice job 👍.
What’s your thoughts on the Carli Trophy hitch? Is it worth the price point? I’m considering and would welcome the feedback.

@Tremor32 it does a good job holding the larger-sized tire up there but I would have expected higher quality durability from it against rusting. IF you do get one, I guess be extra careful to keep it with anti-rust coatings since detailing alone doesn't keep it from rust. You also have to get one of those special Bullet Proof hitch locks, nothing else will fit.

Wow, good to know and look out for. Thank you for the update.

Looks amazing 👍😎, great job!

@Tremor32 I know they don't look as good as your Icons but we should definitely get an FLL meetup soon and benchmark some ride quality :)

😆 I am admiring the your level of detail with the Raptor style fender flares with the marker lights.
We definitely should do another SFL meet up. It’s been almost a year since the last meet up.

@Tremor32 Thanks man, it was a pain trying to basically do the Shelby Super Baja look using Roush's SD flares...Roush wouldn't sell me them, so I found the guy on Ebay who buys their surplus. But he didn't have the wiring harness for them...so had to source that one separately. Luckily he knew the part numbers for the lights so I could get them off Amazon.

Dude, I really like the look. Those fender flairs look better than any I've previously seen on a superduty.

How are you liking the Carli E-venture? I've had it in the "cart" multiple times but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

@RVaKDA See below for links to the items. And yep, I got the whole E-Venture system when it first came out in '22.

This thread has convinced me to get a set of 17’s + D load tires. Now time to convince the wife.

'just saw you posted here too @Jack. But honestly, for a family hauler that you don't need to tow with and maybe put the occasional heavy load in the back...couldn't be a bigger believer. Keep in mind, I did this AFTER swapping out my whole suspension...but I frankly felt more of a difference with this change than the suspension change FWIW.

@Jack. I have it at about 40 PSI cold, goes up to 43 or so hot. Tires I'm pretty sure max out at 50 as a point of reference.

Works for me. I am interested in the 38x11.50 in load D of these. That size goes up to 65psi.

Either way im sold on the load D.
