I bought/installed mine last year when they had they previous Memorial Day sale and it has been one of my favorite additions to the truck. 
We use it for long and short trips, and it has performed beautifully for a year. It cools down quickly and stays cold for hours after the truck is turned off, even without changing the shutoff time of the power ports.

Any fridge owners have a problem with the fridge freezing drinks inside? Had a few waters in there recently while on a short road trip ~3hrs and they were somewhat frozen inside.

I have not had freezing issues with mine. We used it last year 10+ hours at a time for several days when we drove between SE Texas and Yellowstone.
That makes sense. I called dometic this morning and they said this was the first they’ve heard of one doing it, and that they would have to talk to one of their engineers and get back to me.
Their engineer said it wasn’t uncommon to have a slushy drink shortly after turning it on. The fridge is designed to take a room temperature drink(s) and cool it down to ice cold within an hour, so having a few waters partially frozen a couple hours after turning it on is normal apparently. The longer it stays on, the more stable the temp inside stays

That is good information. I have used mine an many short trips in Texas and still have not experienced any freezing.
Did you drill the giant hole for the vent fan in the console? I did not want to drill it, but decided it was probably the best way to keep it working as expected.
Yea, I drilled the hole in the console. I thought the same about doing it, but wasn’t excited to do it.
I read through this thread a bit again and seems like I’m the only one with this problem. I’ll try it more with some upcoming trips and see if what they said holds true.
I’d hate to have a water, soda, etc bottle explode in the truck because it froze lol
