Do I really want a Tremor??

Well sat down with the dealer and ordered me a tremor today. Ended up making a couple impromptu decisions and changed some stuff last minute. Went with iconic silver, lariat value, and blackout package. The blackout now comes with power boards (or at least a discounted option, the dealer was a little confused as was i but I was looking at the same screen he was), add that with the led lights and I got most everything I wanted without having to jump up to an ultimate. Still a spendy rig but if i get what I want now hopefully it'll stick around a long time. Was able to go through a fleet program which saves me some $$ but we'll see how or if it affects build time. Dealer seemed confident it would take longer. Hurry up and wait....

Good move on the LED lights. I didn't know you could get LED lights without getting PBS when I got my truck. So far, that's my only real regret. I'm glad you were able to find pretty much exactly what you wanted without paying extra for what you don't want. Congratulations, and... Enjoy the wait?

Keep in mind there have been rumors that the power steps are causing production/delivery delays.

Personally I think the stock steps are great and the height is fine even for little kids and grandma on occasion. And the door protection is a meaningful feature.

I also think the power steps are cool. But if I was on the fence at all I’d go stock and upgrade the steps later if I change my mind. The stock steps resell pretty well from what I hear.

I’m just adding my .02$ since I just picked up this thread. I understand $ id an issue for some. Some of the old gangsters of the Forum that have been on here a long time haven’t chimed in. There were so many discussions on Lariat value or Ultimate question. I think the Ultimate really is the better value. Most of discussions on this last year concluded that so many options you say you won’t need you find out later you wish you would have gotten.
I wound up getting every option except the rapid heat, which my stupid salesman missed. I live on LI NY and it was cold and snowy this year. It took a bit to get the cab warm. It should be a must if you live in cold areas.
The adaptive cruise control is really nice when sitting in traffic especially if you are planning to tow a trailer. I had cruise control on when driving 19 hrs straight to Florida to be with my dad before he passed away. A few times some dumb fuck swerved into our lane riding hot it slowed the truck down instantly.
At times it can be annoying but you can shut it off and you can set the distance of how far away you want to be behind someone.
I know the Lariat does not come with an option for Massage seats. You may say I don’t need it BUT ask anyone with a King Ranch or a Platinum what they think of it snd they all will say it’s freakin mint. Couldn’t have done the 19hr drive without it. My wife wants it on all the time. So the Platinum of Lariat decision was quite easy for me.
Moonroof was a great option that we love. I open my moonroof all the time snd I use it in 10 degree weather with the heat on and heated seats snd I didn’t feel the cold un less driving 80 mph. We love it.
The bed step option on 21’ and newer is awesome. Another must. You flip it down in a second to easily step up onto your bumper. I never use my tailgate step. I use the bed step ALWAYS. If you need to get something out of your bed you don’t need to drop the gate. You step up onto your bumper. It’s truly a must. And it’s cheap.
The power steps are awesome. They can get annoying if you are opening your front door then close it and open the back and then close to reopen the other door. It keeps going up snd down. It never froze so far in the winter snd was not a problem with all the snow we had this year. I haven’t had a ding from a door yet Knock on wood.
Roof lites are so bad ass looking at night. Roof lights can be a problem if you want to add them after. I’d be worried if they leaked with having them added. We love them.
I chose the spray in liner. For me I didn’t want the hassle to get it done aftermarket.
Up fitter switches are another must. Get them from the factory. It’s a huge hassle to get it done later. You may say I won’t add mods but after seeing everyone’s builds you get ideas of what you want to add to your beast. They should be a must.
Wheel well liners to keep it clean was a must and it was available with the Platinum but I don’t think rears or is it fronts are available for black out package.
I chose to get the hood deflector which a lot of people swore by. It’s to save your hood from scuffs. I was able to get tuff skin letters in silver to pop right in.
I chose to get the factory retractable bed cover. I think this I would have waited on. RETRAX PRO let’s you add a rack for bikes/kayaks/ or work rack. I do love it though. It locks at any position and it’s warrantied.
I went with factory mud flaps. My concern is I’m adding a set of Method wheels and they sell wider mud flaps to protect your truck with wider wheels.
One last point that was made with what options to get on your build discussions was resale. If it adds a couple grand to the sticker to have so many options it will resale much better down the road.
I love my Iconic Silver Platinum. My sticker was 93,890$. I had XPlan snd got it for 88,600$. I was able to afford it. But even if I couldn’t I would have just paid it off later. It’s my dream truck and would not have wanted to be upset later saying why didn’t I get blah blah blah.
This is my first H-D truck. I absolutely LOVE MY TREMOR. I got the winch but won’t use it much. But the day I need it, I will be very happy I got it.
JBlaze used it the first week he got his truck. The vacuum lines on 4 wheel drive got disconnected and he was stuck in the mud with his son not able to drive out of it as his son was crying. He hooked his line to a tree and pulled his beast out and looked like a hero. Just saying!!!
I see so many newbs on here and it seems like the OGs have been very quiet. That’s life. I found there wisdom very very helpful with my build and with all questions I had. So many great dudes on here.
Great to see so many more Tremor owners on here. Any way, glad to see you decided on a Tremor. May GOD Bless you, your family and your sweet beautiful future beast. Silver looks sharp. It will look killer with the black out.
It’s not to late to change your order. I did with mine. It does make you go back to the end of the waiting line. It’s well worth just thinking it all over and making sure with the value over the ultimate. I hood this helps. Get your truck done up the way you will want if down the road. Regret is a BITCH!!!

Iron Man is your headliner black? Seems like I always see them gray even on trucks with everything else black.
The Platty has the best interior IMHO. All black with a very soft seat. I was leaning on a Lariat Black out Tremor but the massage seats and the classy interior, with the softer steering wheel I was sold.

So black interior lariat = gray headliner

black interior platinum or limited = black headliner?

my 18 lariat F150 had black headliner
Limited has a tan interior. They don’t offer it on a Tremor. The Platinum has so many options that come standard rather than stuff you need to add on Lariat. Tan on Limited would get filthy IMO. ????

Heated steering wheel for sure bro. Your beast is beautiful. Love the color. ????

Who manufactures that and what is the weight?
CK Fab out of Laurel MT. I have no idea of the weight, but they aren't light. Definitely don't move easy either. Deer don't phase them. I have one on my current pickup and really wasn't even a consideration on the new one. Fully customizable with colors, lights, pipe size etc. Shoot me a PM if you want his number, or you can find it on facebook if you have that

First time I've seen / heard of the bed steps. Those look dope.
1. do they do them on either side
2. are they addable after the fact from the dealership?
I was told amp sells aftermarket. I’d also believe Ford would sell them. I remember someone installed amp ones and posted pics. There were discussions that people said they would not want them but that was before the 2021 models came out. It is an absolute must in my eyes. I LOVE this step. ????

All good info guys thanks a bunch keep it coming.
Online it seems as tho the power boards are only available with the ultimate package?? Is that correct??
My dad has an 18 fx4 xlt, and if the height really is similar to that then it wouldn't be so bad.
Those Sulastic shackles look like a great idea. I'll be trying them for sure.
I ordered my Tremor with Ford Powder retractable step with the Lariat Package. My wife if vertically challenged ! As for the ride, the Tremor rides slightly better than the FX4. The Tremor has softer shocks and slightly smaller sway bars which help with articulation and ride.
