DEF jug vs pump

Haha, not a thing at all - just messing around.

On a serious note, I do buy the 2.5gal DEF cans, mainly out of necessity given my local fuel joints don’t have DEF at the pump.

And my Tremor is my daily driver, and I use it like a truck should be used anytime it’s needed.

Daughter just turned 16 last week so I have now made my last commute to the studio and/or mall!!

🍻 to that!
Sounds like you’re proper F-ed now…..16 year old daughter! I have 3….oldest is 13…..I’m even more F-ed

I just filled up at my local truck stop today $4.49/gal. 2.5 gal jug of Blue Def is $15.48 @ Walmart, that's $6.20/gal.

Hey everyone just wanted to get everybody's thoughts on whether you use DEF out of a jug or from the pump at the gas station pros and cons and what have you. My thoughts are maybe better from the pump because if for some reason something happens and it's caused by Def and your warranty doesn't cover it you may be able to get the station to cover it where you bought the stuff if you can prove that you bought it there . Thanks
I use the pump when I can. For me, the jugs seem to make a mess.

I get DEF Blue Platinum jugs from HD. Maybe a waste of money for "premium" DEF but the extra $5-6 a jug every few thousand miles isn't a big deal. I rather fill up with jugs at home so I never have my DEF cap and diesel cap off at the same time. Jugs also have serial numbers that you can decode and see when it was manufactured. The two that I just bought was made six weeks ago.
I'm pretty sure the Platinum is well worth the extra cost. If you take a 1/2 cup of regular DEF and a 1/2 cup of Platinum and dump them on a dark tarp, couple feet apart, and let them dry you'll see the Platinum drys with significantly less crystallization than the regular. Consequently, I'm assuming having less deposits in your tank helps keep your DEF system in better shape.
