Trying to decide between either getting the decked toolbox, which seems to be the best overall toolbox design (but $$$) or getting a decked drawer system. Definitely seems like the drawer system keeps way more tools protected than the box could, but for a F350 having my bed taken up would certainly be a waste.

Checking in to see if any of y'all use either of these and have some pictures and experiences to share, definitely needs to look good with the truck...

Thanks!

I had the decked drawers in my F150. It was okay, but that extra 10 inches or so of bed height did come in to play while loading certain things. Obviously you can’t gooseneck/fifth wheel without taking the system out, but if that’s not on the agenda, I’ve still toyed with getting it again. It sure does help store and organize things nicely. I’ve never been a fan of tool boxes for trucks in general, so I can’t speak to that

The DECKED Tool Box is the better choice if you frequently haul tall items like motorcycles, ATVs, or large appliances. It is also the necessary option if you plan to pull a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch, since a drawer system blocks that setup. It leaves your bed open while still giving you a secure, dent-proof spot for your main gear.

The DECKED Drawer System is perfect if your main goal is maximum organization and tool protection. It does eat up 12 inches of vertical bed space, which means bulk materials like mulch or gravel will ride much higher. However, the top deck supports up to 2,000 lbs of weight, so you can still safely strap down heavy pallets or plywood right on top of the system.

If you mostly haul large or tall items and just need a secure spot for a few basic tools, stick to the tool box. If your F-350 doubles as a daily work rig or off-road basecamp where organizing lots of smaller loose gear is critical, the drawer system is absolutely worth losing a foot of bed depth.

Hope this helps. Good luck and keep us posted!

Have not seen these but have not had great luck with aluminum boxes in the past in terms of aesthetics at least. Definitely looks good in the images though!
It also uses a spring vs cylinder for lifting the lid. These are built to last.

Having had an aluminum toolbox previously, to now having the decked drawers, I prefer the drawers. Much more space for storage and ease of access vs a toolbox. I do have a topper with ladder rack so I lose the height, but I couldn't put a dryer in the back without removing the topper even if I didn't have the drawers. I would get another drawer set before I would ever get another toolbox. Or, if I had a long bed, I would have both 😉
