📍 Meet-Up Central Texas Meet-up: Sat, Dec 5 at Cooper’s BBQ in College Station

Texas Tremor folks, it’s been too long!

Our last Texas get-together was a small one in DFW back in March, and the last central Texas meet was all the way back in April 2025. Time to fix that. This time we’re meeting in the middle so folks from all over the state can make it.

When: Saturday, December 5, 2026, 10 a.m. to about 3 p.m.

Where: Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que
3055 Earl Rudder Fwy South, College Station, TX 77845

Plan for the day

10:00 a.m.: Meet up in the parking lot. Hang out, catch up, and check out each other’s builds.
Noon: Head inside for lunch.
Around 3:00 p.m.: Wrap up and head home.

Why College Station?
It’s about as central as it gets:

About 1.5 hours from Houston and Austin
About 3 hours from DFW and San Antonio

That makes it an easy day trip from pretty much anywhere in the Texas Triangle.

Louisiana crew, you’re invited too!

College Station isn’t only central for Texas. It’s a reasonable drive for our neighbors to the east:

Shreveport: about 4 hours
Alexandria: about 4 hours
Lafayette: about 4 hours

It’s a longer day, but very doable. If you’d rather not drive both ways in one day, you could make a weekend of it and stay over Friday or Saturday night.

I didn’t vote as I can't be there, but I was at that joint a long time ago when a friend (who absolutely refused to step foot in Cali) was working there while going to college. It was good eating for sure... at least then anyway.

And please tell me none of our folks are in that hellscape of Alexandria? Lived there late 80's for a very short time. Stationed at the now defunct England AFB.
