It’s kind of a pain but I’ve had luck with a master reset of the Sync system on odd issues like this. My 150 even needed the occasional fuse pull for a few years and then never again. 🤷‍♂️

My S23 connects without issue, sometimes before my iPhone picks up on Sync. Verify that you have Android auto enabled fully on your device. I would encourage running the USB-C cable and see if that resolves the issue?

Who makes the hearing aid, and do you use a dongle for the interface? (I assume you do since the Samsung S23 does not automatically interface with hearing aids like Apple.) I use Oticon hearing aids and also have issues.

With Oticon hearing aids and if the dongle is active, the phone won't connect to other devices via Bluetooth. Try not using the connect clip, (Oticons name for the dongle) and be sure the dongle is off, not in standby. Even if the connection is established on the radio or any other Bluetooth device, when activated, the dongle overrides it and takes control.

I also have the Samsung S23. Unfortunately, with the current version, you may have to disable the dongle to hear your phone in the truck.

FYI, I just experimented with a Bluetooth external speaker, had communications and turned the connect clip on, it shut the speaker off but the Bluetooth LED is still lit on the speaker. I shut the dongle off and the speaker came to life, no buttons pushed except "play", listening to Pandora. (When the speaker switched, the music paused.)

Hope this helps.

I have Signia from the V.A. and I am assuming dongle is the thing that connects your hearing aids to your phone ?

Correct. The dongle takes priority over the other Bluetooth devices.
