No.

Lots of guys just install them for ease of maintenance, myself included.

Yes the PPE cover has a drain plug.

Yessir, that’s correct. Most have fill plugs that are larger than the OEM fill port in the center casting. Some fill ports on aftermarket covers are not at the correct level, so it’s best to use the factory one.
