But are they making homes with 8ft doors? All seem like 7ft.

Yes. Most custom homes use single doors 9' wide x 8' high. I have them and can back my F-250 in with the mirrors out if I am perfectly centered. Naturally, I fold them in to make it much easier. But if you are building a home, and have single doors, 9080 is the way to go for normal vehicles.
