Wow. Did you use a heat gun or anything else to aid in pulling off the tape?

I used a heat gun on mine and it came off relatively easy. Nothing broke in the process.

It was such a relief to get back on a highway and not have the flutter on the hood and mirrors. Anyone who says it’s just a minor inconvenience is kidding themselves and others. It’s a serious design flaw, this product should not have been released to market.

No heat gun, the trucks been sitting out in the hot sun all day. Before I installed the bug guard, I removed the tape that came on it, then I retapped it with

3M VHB Tape 4991​

It’s 2.3 mm thick vs the thinner tape that came on it. I wanted to avoid the corners of the guard from digging into the paint. So with the tape being a VHB version made it difficult to remove.

That’s why I pulled it off. The hood and mirrors fluttered like crazy!

I have to wholeheartedly disagree. I have a mild flutter when large vehicles pass at best. I still don't care for the look of it and constantly consider removing it for that reason alone lol.

Between the sun and the star white paint. It is impossible to get it to show up on camera, I’ve tried.

Working on putting white letters on Aeroskin 2. About 2 hours in, I think I have the placement correct. Marked all the beginnings and end of all letters on lower and upper tape after using a cut zip tie as a jig to get all the letters level. I will now remove the letters, but leave the upper and lower tape, clean with alcohol(without erasing my marks) and then put them back on using the marks on the tape. Pain in the ass, but I think it’s going to pop.

Lots of good feedback here. I just got the “Ford Accessories” website acrylic deflector and am wondering if anyone has issues with it causing hood/mirror shake? It’s a lot less obtrusive in profile but not sure I want to install it now given all the issues you guys have had with deflectors.

Went crazy with my Ford Points and ordered the Fender Flares, Bed lockers and Bed mat too!
