2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Just in !!!!

Super Duty plant will NOT be targeted in UAW strike!

Only Michigan Plant (Bronco / Rangers will be targeted. Kentucky and Ohio super duty plants un affected by the strike
That's great news!!

@marine_wi hopefully this means you're in production in the morning and I get started early next week.

If you don't mind, what price tag they give you? I had my 22 just get totaled out and am back in the shopping market.
I ended up buying the 2023 that I ordered that got build with the 3.31 gears.

The MSRP was a little over $89k, then X-Plan saved me about $5k

Sorry to hear about your 22

I believe I have came across the new darkened bronze color. I had to take a screenshot because it was a rolling video. The video is from a page called "alumiduty" on IG. The color looks a little more darker/and more of a cocoa tint vs. The now deleted stone gray...which I currently have. It looks very nice if indeed this is it. I like it better than the stone gray.
Check out Andre’s video which shows an F150 I think with this color. At last 1/5 of video

So if the super duty plants are not effected when will ford release more build dates that did not get released yesterday ?

My guess is that the main Kentucky plant scheduling for the month of October occurred back on the 7th.
Scheduling is done on Thursday’s. We might see some early November scheduling in the coming Thursdays. Also Ohio plant switches to 2024 model year in November.

Not yet anyway!! We will see how long this lasts… not sure I would want my truck built in the middle of all the BS!

Oh man, I just read something that said Ford might use salaried employees to keep the production lines going. I’m not feeling too good about that. I wonder how many autos these people have built and are they going to be disgruntled about it. I feel a lemon coming if my truck is built during this strike period.
I have the saem worry! Inexperienced and/or angry employees = crap product

I don't think the employees would necessarily do that. That would hurt their cause.

Anyone know why they don't include payloads when you use the build function on Ford's website? Or even on window stickers or when you place a special order from the dealer? It would be nice to know and I'm sure would help in a lot of people's decision on certain upgrades, etc.

If people act rationally, you would be correct, but people seem to more often act on emotion than rationally.
True, but there are likely work standards that employees are evaluated against and any performance issues are, especially in union environments, consistently addressed so it would be foolish for employees to put themselves into the disciplinary path and potentially lose their job. The Big 3 and the UAW have a very long relationship and neither side wants things like that to happen as they will have to live with each other whenever a new contract is agreed upon. This isn't the 1800s and the UAW will keep the emotions at the picket line and the bargaining table and off the shop floor.

I agree that this would be incredibly useful. I am an engineer. When I buy a component or a piece of fixed machinery, I can see detailed specifications of its capabilities before I make a purchase decision. Not with a pick up truck which is also a piece of machinery used as a tool.

Unless the market starts demanding it, I can see several reasons that Ford would avoid providing this. First off, they would have to put more effort into the Build and Price web site. From the quality and accuracy of that web site I would guess that it is a low budget operation with junior software coders. To calculate payload capacity they would have to actually talk to engineers and do a whole additional set of subtraction calculations. Secondly, they could be held accountable for the accuracy. If someone ordered a truck expecting it to meet their payload needs and the truck showed up with a payload sticker showing several hundred pounds less, they will be pissed. Thirdly, they do not want to discourage people from ordering options. They make a very high profit margin on the options. If someone sees how much payload they loose when ordering a giant moon roof, they might not order it. Finally, from a marketing standpoint, they only want to talk about the maximum theoretical payload. Lesser numbers that are real for the majority of the trucks will just not sell well.

Ding ding ding...I'm sure those are all the exact reasons. Starting at the top with discouraging people from ordering the options. The order I had placed for a '23 didn't have the pano moonroof for that reason exactly.

Hell, after the sunroof leaking issues we have had first with my wife's 2016 Flex, and then again with her 2019 Flex, I want absolutely nothing to do with a sunroof. Especially not one that covers 90% of the surface area lol.

Noticed that on the 24 build site the only trims that have the Tremor option are the King Ranch and Platinum….or is that just an iPhone thing???
