2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Well, flying out to Iowa this afternoon. Tomorrow afternoon pickup at Granger.

Plan is to make it to Lincoln, NE by the end of the day tomorrow and stay for the night at a TBD hotel. From there next destination will be Grand Junction, CO by end of day Saturday, and then from there make it to Las Vegas by Sunday night and finish it up being back in San Diego by mid-day Monday.

Just honest question here as I only deal with my local dealer. How much did you really save after buying airline ticket, gas, multiple hotels, time, etc??? Just seems like a lot of effort for the same product you could get anywhere.

I’m guessing you were looking at paying MSRP or something close instead?

I came very close to ordering from Granger, but I got lucky and found a dealership closer (2 1/2 hours) to honor X Plan. I could have saved a little more with Granger, but it’s a plane trip and a 15 hour drive back home.

If I wouldn’t have found something close like I did with X Plan, I would have done the Granger trip as well.

Man, I HOPE mine comes in by Wednesday next week and I can grab it friday morning. Otherwise I have to wait another 4 weeks to get there.

For me it is in the $4K range, but I also like road trips and decided to get away from work using this as an "excuse". It's an experience that fits in with a lot of things in my life + gives me content for my YouTube channel and Instagram.

Talk to your sales person and potentially Shelby, the finance manager. Let them know your timeline and availability so that they can eventually prioritize your truck if it arrives with little time to spare. I've been on the phone with her and also talked via email. She (and Hayleigh) have been great to work with.

Granger sells trucks cheaper than X plan. 2% under invoice

I got the rail car number from Ford chat - you have to ask for it (eg, rail car TTGX123456). I then went to the CSX rail page (https://www.csx.com/index.cfm/customers/resources/contact-us/) and call their automated tracking system by entering, 2 then 1 then 3, then saying "location", then it asks for car letters "TTGX" then car number "123456', you will then say "done" when it prompts you to enter another car number.

I have been able to track it all the way out of Kentucky, crossed into CA last night and making its way up north now. Should be wherever it is ending up by tomorrow, then it goes carrier truck to dealer. Mine shipped per Ford page on 3/10 - was moving within 1-2 days, then stopped and sat for 1.5 days at a rail yard in New Mexico I think.

Thanks for the info on the winch, that sounds like a good deal.

This works great. Truck is currently in Iowa as of 9am this morning. Ford said it shipped Monday.

The Ford Store in Morgan Hill, CA is doing $1000 over Invoice on all Super Duty in-stock and orders. They also will add the private cash offer to the deal if you have one. Ask for Mike or Manny, they have been great to work with.

It took about 12 hours for mine to show a Window sticker. Basically yesterday morning I was moved to production status. Around midnight or so my Window sticker finally worked

About a month ago I turned down an F350 that was delivered. It didn't have the factory power running boards as there was the common problem of correctly adding them. Today I got a call and I have another scheduled for a 4/10 production date. Not too bad to wait a few months to get it. Not sure how they pulled it off, but definitely worth waiting a few more months for. I made a couple changes too.

- removed front wheel well liners and a TPMS kit
- changed interior from black to carmelo (at first I didn't like it, but it's been growing on me).
- added the moonroof

Hope to have an update next month. Here's the build sheet.
