2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Saw this today

“All super duty trucks are held currently due to IPMA (Image processing module A) issues. Every super duty uses this module regardless of trim level. There was supposed to be a module update released today & if so they would be able to release trucks. Until that happens nothing will be leaving the plant.”
Where did you see this update? Thanks!

I'm looking for some help. I ordered a 23 back in December of 22. King Ranch Tremor. Fast forward to December of 23, Ford called to let me know they were canceling my order because there was an issue with the King Ranch Tremor package together. One of the other holdups is the max recline seats. I work in the oil and gas industry and am regularly on site for 40+ hours straight. I'm probably one of the few people who would actually use them. Last year I spent 80 nights sleeping in my truck. So it's a must for me.
When Ford called in December 23 they also informed me that the 24s had Max Recline seats in the lariat. So I ordered a lariat Tremor with Max Recline seats and that's all I really requested. I got my vin number the other day and the image is showing chrome front and rear bumpers. I hate chrome. Is this the default from the factory? I will end up getting them wrapped, I do the ppf on the front anyway.
The build sheet isn't clear. I know I didn't order the chrome package. It was all done over the phone.
Thanks.

You can absolutely get the KR and tremor package together still. My local dealer has one in production currently and last I checked, not sold. Doesn't have max recline seats though. Also, I have a 24 KR (non-tremor) on order due to be produced in mid-april with max recline in the build, also through the same dealer--I will likely not be picking this truck up. If you are interested in either lemme know and I will get you lined up.

Thank you for the help. But I'm dead set on tremor with Max Recline. I prefer the lariat also because I have never been a fan of the two tone or the peanut butter interior. I'm still excited for the truck, and have been reading a lot here about guys painting them. But I think the wrap will work best for me. Just looking for conformation that they will be chrome.

Should have added the sport package to the truck. Then it’s paint matched.

It is the default on a Lariat unless you ad the Sport or Black Appearance Package.

Ask your dealership to email your actual build sheet. The information that your showing from the Ford site is vague and confusing, but the image of the truck is probably accurate. Can you get a window sticker? Hopefully you ordered the black appearance or sport package.

Got this from Ford Chat today. This would tell me that it is consistent with a 2 week delay. Im not getting a spray in bed liner inner wheel wells. Just a 5th wheel kit which doesnt seem to have any delays.

Deven. Your order current status is "In Production" this means the manufacturing plant is building your vehicle. Secondary: Sent Offsite Ford Kentucky Truck Plant 2, KY Mar-01-2024. Expected ETA status change: Mar-12-2024 Mar-18-2024

Why worry about things you have no control over. Just accept it’s delayed and for good reasons.

Yeah super disappointed. Build week was supposed to be last week. No date in "production" dot. Only ordered an XLT with a couple options.

I’m pretty sure I’m the problem, since there’s a black cloud that usually follows me around if my truck wasn’t on the assembly line everyone would have their truck already.
Nah, it's my fault! Everything I commit to gets delayed!

Some of us are not worried about it. Some of us are just super excited as its our first new truck we have ever had. Just seems like in todays world Ford could be a little more transparent. Thats my only complaint. Its worse to me knowing the truck has been built but being held up for no reason according to Ford. They could of said from day one of the problem. Hey we have a software issue. WE are working on it. We will let you know.
They keep saying the same thing though. Still supposed to be delivered March 4th. I dont see that happening.

Well I’ve been waiting for a year for my truck to be built. Two more weeks isn’t going to make much of a difference at this point.

Me as well. But these last 4 weeks are killing me!
This is many firsts for me.
First time custom ordering a vehicle, first truck, let alone a super duty, as well as first diesel.

Agreed on transparency as a best practice. I would rather they fix the problem before sending the trucks out, but why didn't they just come forward and tell the customers and dealerships what was happening? That's assuming this latest reason is correct, which it appears to be based on prior posts about the problem. Ford management would have spared their customers a lot of concern and would have eliminated at least several hundred inquiries with veiled responses.
