2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

BEAUTIFUL Truck ! You should be very proud. Not much makes your day better than a NEW Truck because it looks good, smells good and drives great! Congratulations!!
Thanks! Few things in life as sweet as a new truck. Lucky to have a wife that was on board with the purchase. She made sure the dealership gave her a hat too.

Great looking truck. Sad that it’s raining so much…though you could still find some trouble to get in.
Not looking for trouble today. The HO engine spins the tires fairly easy. I saw the traction control light flash a couple times already.

I really do like the look of these 24s. Now to get this pile of parts on.

Does anyone know why Ford decided to force the HO engine on Tremor package and higher trims like Limited? The towing capacity is limited by the Tremor package and certain wheel, tire, gear combos anyway on the SRW (about 23000) which the STD 6.7 is rated for.

Just hit 3500 miles on the 24. 30 days in only issue so far is the false intrusion alarm every once in awhile. Otherwise, vast improvement over my previous super duty’s. One thing that has been mentioned is the DEF consumption. Wowza! Glad I can get it at the Pump for $3.29 a gallon.

Im curious to see how this turns out.

So my 2024 came in today. I have decided not to get it since I have an order in for a 2024 Raptor R. If you are interested in it, let me know. I can get you in touch with the salesman. The dealership is in Eastern Idaho and there are no mark-ups.

I am torn, but in the end, I can't afford payments on this Tremor and a Raptor R. So I chose the Raptor R.

Greenville NC has a Raptor R 131K, I turned it down when I first asked about it I made offer they declined and then raised it to !57K a week later. They sent me email a few days ago saying 131. I never responded.

The Raptor R I have on order is MSRP with no mark up, so $110,000.00. It will likely end up being a 2025 Raptor R, but I can wait.

I like the truck looks nice 👍

Hello all, first post and super excited to be here. I just placed my first online order today and am super excited for the long wait. My dealer shared the Build Sheet and asked me to sign, which I did and he then said the order was submitted. Seems to be pretty anticlimactic for placing an order for a $75k truck! Nothing other than an email from the dealer saying "it has been submitted".

My question for this group, do you typically receive any kind of email confirmation or anything confirming that the order has been placed by Ford? I do have a ford account linked to my name and contact information and the order isn't showing up there either. I'm assuming this all takes time anyway, but would just like some way to confirm the order is in. Would appreciate any insight on what I can (or can't) expect to see.

Taken from another forum.
Can anyone shed some light on “SIMS creation in the next 2 weeks”

Does this mean orders not receiving build dates in the next 2 weeks result in SIMS creation. Whatever that is

I’ve asked this question recently never to be answered

Some get an email as soon as they place the order, some get an email a few days or a week later. Some never get the email. I have ordered three so far. First one and the third one I got the email minutes after placing the order. The second one I never got an email

Found it, thanks Poopy_Pants 😀

Ford generates what are called “SIMS Orders” each week which are Ford’s suggested orders based on commodity information available at the time. If a Dealer has vehicle allocation for scheduling that week and has no Dealer orders in the USOB or orders that don’t meet the commodity restrictions in place for that week, the scheduling system will default to trying to schedule SIMS (Smart Inventory Management System) orders if they meet any commodity restrictions in place. The SIMS orders are available to Dealers online Monday mornings and in print form on Tuesday mornings. Dealers can enter their own vehicle orders or change the Ford generated SIMS orders
