2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

I was told by Ford Customer Service This morning that I should probably change dealers as they clearly are not doing anything with my build. They could tell that it was last viewed or something on Nov 27th and theres been no movement even though there was nothing that would stop my truck from being processed. not sure how much that really matters but that is what I was told today.
This is my biggest issue with the process of ordering/buying a truck through ford—The lack of transparency. The impression I get from my dealer is that they couldn’t care less about me or my order.
Yes, this is the first truck I am ordering from them, but the guys who buy new trucks every year—they had to buy their first truck too at some point.
The dealer I am working with now is not making me a lifelong customer with them, that much I can assure you. Open/transparent communication is key.
Being in the dark on a $90k+ purchase quite frankly is BS.

I don't think dealers make a ton on the vehicle sale but they certainly do off of extend warranties and especially service. If you're already being treated like trash, that's not going to improve any when it comes time after sale to get warranty and services. I'd move along if it were myself. In my case, I'm buying from an out of state dealer (Granger) and we both understand upfront what this transaction means. Any after sales will be between my local dealer or most likely me servicing it. Yet Granger thus far has treated me with the utmost of respect and appreciation for the business.

Somehow I've gone backwards from built to order confirmed.

I have a 9/18 Order Lariat Ultimate non-Tremor Ordered from Granger. In “Clean unscheduled” since 11/24. Ford and Granger saying the same, that’s all they know. No VIN Yet. Exciting though that it seems once it gets going it is just a few weeks. Mid-February will make me happy. Can’t say enough about the kind courteous customer service at Granger. Chip and Hayleigh have been all that you could ask for. Father in Law was a dealer and I actually built/ordered Trucks for the store in the middle 80’s believe me it is a constant battle trying to get in demand vehicles from the manufacturers. No dealer is ever happy about the Allocation process. They would love noting more than to call and tell you your truck is READY. We are all looking for one of the top in demand vehicles and coming off of a 10 week shut down. We are all like kids asking to open a present 🎁 early😂😂😂

Yes if there is no scheduled date assigned by the end of January I think I am going to move along.

My window sticker showed up! Not on the link from the tracker, but the one where you have to enter your VIN after the =. If it has a date in the box that says special order, does that mean the build is complete?
No, the date is when they received the "ticket" to build it.

After order is the VIN next and then Scheduled date?
When a vin is issued the vehicle is scheduled . Next the window sticker appears when the vehicle is assigned a rotation number about a week before it’s built.

My truck was unloaded off the train in Memphis on 12/12. Showed ETA of 12/12-12/24. Then late last night switched to 12/22-1/4. Crazy considering my dealer is only 3hrs from Memphis.

The VIN link on the ford tracker doesn’t always work. Hasn’t worked for me and my truck is at the dealer ready for me to pickup now.

Yeah major issues at the Memphis yard for sure!

Usually when the delivery date window changes after sitting in the yard, it means it was loaded onto the carrier and is headed to the dealership.

Yes sir. Merry Christmas to everyone, except Raiders fans. I am currently not on speaking terms with Raiders at the moment.
Psh. I'm loving the Raiders and their fans!! Doesn't matter what presents I get anymore... That was the best one. Haha
