At some point, whether it be here or a new thread, I would love the opinion of those that are attending this trip regarding what tires they will be rolling with when we hit the trails in November. I currently have the Toyo Open Country RT Trails, stock-sized, but will need replacements within the next few months and certainly before our trip. I'm going a different route, just not sure which route yet...I've had a problem balancing 2 of these 4 tires for about the last 25,000 miles.
I have Faulken AT3 295. 70. 18. Zero issues or complaints.

I'll be rolling with the rubber kind; it's the only time I use rubbers 😉

This is really becoming more than I imagined!!

12 Trucks confirmed
2 OL TRUCK tents

5 States Represented

I/we were not trying to set any records, most states at 1 meet, farthest traveled with truck.
@Vermonster ... You and the wife available to join in? Would be awesome to get some representation from the NE

Hey Everyone,

I'm in and booked - looking forward to the trip.

I was talking to my wife about the trip and told her I was thinking about meeting up with a bunch of people I met on the internet in the west Texas wilderness and she said: "ok good - you need some new friends anyways!"

Only stipulation is that I can't come home and spend a ton of money because everyone i meet "has cooler shit on their trucks" than I do!! She's on to me already!
Bring your wife... In addition to @piranhapattie A few of us will have our wife/partner with us and she'll find a great group of ladies to get to know.

I have found it helped a lot for my wife to see the mods I've been thinking about to get her buy-in.

I'll probably still be running the OEM Duratracs. Just ordered new wheels so will begin the search for a set of 37s. Time for me to read the 100s of threads on the forum asking for tire advice (and I'll likely end up more confused and indecisive 😜 afterwards)

Unfortunately not me, but I’m sure our Canadian cousins are a better bet
Or our friends in Mexico, not a problem crossing the border!

I’ve ran a stock 4Runner on BFG KO2s through most of BBNP. I don’t think you’ll have any issues going back with the Toyos.

It's another day.....anxious to see what it brings. Been thinking about our forum friends in the Houston and east Texas areas with the abundance of rain. Thank you to everyone for supporting our meet up coming in November, it is going to be a good time. We have 4 months to get ready, most importantly our trucks too need to be ready. Big Bend National Park is remote, no cell service, or spotty at best. Fortunately there will be many of us with a variety of resources, but if there is an aspect of your truck that is questionable please address it. For those never attending a meet up and have had thoughts of "what am I getting into" driving hundreds of miles to associate with strangers! I have yet to find anyone at a meet up that were not quality people and later I didn't consider a friend.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!!

Holy shit! Terlingua is the Las Vegas of Texas! I can't wait to see what the strip clubs are like in that ghost town. I knew ghost strippers existed but never seen them. Oh, wait...

I’ve been thinking the same thing! I’m thinking I might do 37s in either…
1) falken wildpeak at4w
2) BFG KO3s

Post #195 has updated truck list. We are at 16 trucks, this number matches our total from our Marble Falls meet last November which was a record until our Mason meet up this past May with 21 trucks!
I gotta be honest, I am blown away by the members that have signed up to this point, representing 5 states. Unprecedented!!!

Come on @TRAMPER! This will be epic 😄 @Rodd187 better be there too.
You know I was kind of thinking about it. We did Big Bend in April and I loved it. Would go back in a heartbeat. Idk though it’s a little over 2000 miles each way…. Not that you guys aren’t worth it.
