2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

Got a friend that works at the plant that just told me there's something wrong with the diesel engines and they've shut down production of them and pulled them from trucks to be sent back to engineering. Apparently it's a pretty big issue and could halt production for a long time (potentially months).

Damn! I hope for the sake of my diesel brothers, that that's not the case!

i wonder if they are pulling 6.7s from ALL built trucks or just a selective sample needed for engineering. I am imagining them having to pull 1000s of 6.7 engines from the already built trucks is a nightmare scenario.

I can't image a worse nightmare. They've probably got 20k 6.7 trucks built. If they have to resort to that, it's time to be looking for an alternative truck.

Could this be the issue holding up all 2023 6.7 and 6.7 HO diesel engines? (I recall several threads I've read referring to EPA certs that were needed prior to OKTB.) Looks like there is a class action suit involved. "Bosch CP4 high-pressure fuel injection pumps, to be more specific, which reportedly weren’t capable of handling U.S. diesel fuel specifications. This past July, another Ford Power Stroke lawsuit was dismissed, though this case claimed that affected trucks were built with emissions defeat devices. Now, the Ford Power Stroke diesel is the center of yet another legal battle related – once again – to defective fuel pumps"

This just makes me even more glad I ordered a GMC as a back up. I didn’t have much hope of getting my ford truck and now it’s even less.

My Gmc is built and awaiting shipping so I guess I’m forced to not be a Ford fan boi anymore.

Have them show you the print out actually put into the system. If it has power running boards listed on it, no matter what the dealer tells you, the truck will get build with them. If power running boards are NOT on it, it will come with default tremor boards. So many screws up happens with these boards, the community often knows better how it works than the dealer. Usually the dealer ends up saying “sorry we screwed up” when the truck shows up with wrong boards.

Think what this would take to be true. Unless something changed for '23, it's not possible to pull a 6.7 from a Super Duty. The cab has to come off.

That is not a little job of grabbing the shop crane and pulling an engine. This would be a taking a new truck apart. What do you do with all the pieces while you wait for a new engine? Put them back together? Think what it would take to move all these parts around and store them.

Guy on Facebook said the dealership called and said his truck is at the dealership and he's picking it up on Wednesday! Hopefully he's a member on the forum and can post some pics

What happened to the overseas program order, it did not pan out? I recall you were first in line to order a 23 and even lock in pricing. I remember being skeptical how you can do it without even the order guide having been released.

After waiting for an entire year, originally started out as a 2022 Lariat Tremor and changed to a 2023 and still not scheduled I have finally given up. Told my dealer to cancel my order and refund my $1000. I can’t in good conscience give any manufacturer my business when they are this disorganized and incompetent. I just put in an order for something else which is not a Ford. I truly wish everyone the best at getting their trucks but I am done with them.
